"H-hi" I managed to spit out. I heard a small sigh exit Caleb's mouth, and I realized then that I shouldn't have spoken back. Anon gave an evil chuckle, no sooner slapping me across the face with what seemed to be a whip. I let out a soft moan of pain. "You don't talk back to Anon." he giggled, slapping me once more for his enjoyment. He pulled on a chain that was attached to the cement wall behind me, then pulling my arm and attaching it to the chain. He proceeded to do this with my other arm. "As I was saying; My name is Anon, for anonymous." "I love watching people I despise suffer, begging for their lives." "I've been watching you since you were just 7 years old. I know your entire background, Lacey. When you hung out with your friends I'd follow you over there, also." "You have quite the potty mouth,
don't you?" "DON'T YOU!" he screamed in my ear; startling me. "Yes" I mumbled out of my soft lips. "Well, Lacey. I'd like to see you suffer, begging for your life." He said with that stupid evil chuckle of his. Anon began walking up the steps, slamming the metal door behind him. When it was all clear I asked Caleb "Did he chain you?" because I couldn't see anything in the pitch black. "Yes." "He chains everyone." he responded. "Wh-" I was cut off by a puddle of water flowing beneath my feet. "Shit." Caleb said. I knew this had to be one of his ways of making me suffer. The puddle beneath me began to enlarge. I struggled to stand on my feet, but I did it. My arms felt like they were on the verge of popping out of their sockets, I bit my lip trying to ease the pain. The puddle was now up to my waist. I'm panicking...I want to scream and cry for help but I don't know what Anon would do to me if I did that. Maybe kill me? The thought of that made me cringe. The water was now just beneath my chin, I found Caleb's hand and I held it. I held his hand so tight I thought I might break his wrist. A sudden tear trickled down my face; I tried as hard as I possibly could to stop myself from crying, but that was near impossible. My eyes filled with salty tears. Caleb whispered "We'll get through this together, remember?" I turned my head, seeing his faint smile. The water was now up to just beneath my nose, I couldn't breath through my mouth any longer and my head was already held up as far as it could go. I heard a faint cry coming from straight across of me. Caleb gasped, as did I. "HELP!!" the girl tried to say, as her entire body went underwater. "No!" Caleb began to cry. "Who is that?!" I say. "That was Marina. She's quiet, I was trying to find a time to tell you about her. She's extremely shy. I mean. she was. I gasped. I put my head under the water, the only thing I could see was her bleach blonde hair flowing in the water; she resembled an angel. "Is there anybody else down here?" I asked. "No. At least not yet. He brings in new people every so often." I nod, even though he's probably unable to see my face. I heard Anon's loud footsteps come down the first step, avoiding the water. "So, you guys like your swimming pool? Sure seemed like a blast." He laughed. All of the water began to disappear in the drains beneath our feet. Anon came down the steps, unchaining Marina and carrying her up the steps.
