Nightingale

Chapter 6

Today's my first mission with the team. We're apparently supposed to stop a bank robbery the injustice league is involved in. We just touched down and we're currently running out of the bio-ship. We got out and began running towards the building. Wally picked me up and superspeed us to the spot. 

"Be careful, okay." He said with sternly.

"Always." I said nodding. 

The rest of the team arrived and we walked into the room.

"Look who finally decided to show. The brats and the heir." Joker said aloud.

Heir? 

"She doesn't know does she? The light must have never told her." Ivy asked with a chuckle.

"Tell me what?" I asked folding my arms.

"All in good time derrie, for now. Get em." Joker growled. 

They ran at us and I pulled an arrow. I shot it and it hit a man in the thigh. I ran at him and punched him in the face. I kicked him in the gut and smashed my bow into the side of his head. I saw the team taking out people here and there.  I found myself fighting the Joker. I was busy dodging punches and gas bomb things, to busy to notice the knife flying towards me. 

"NIGHTINGALE!" Someone cried out. 

I turned towards the sound and saw Robin wide eyed. I felt a breeze blow by then pain. I cried out and clutched my side. There was a knife implanted there. I looked up and saw Kid Flash wide eyed. He mumbled something and I heard Joker laughing. I pulled the knife out with a groan and turned to face Joker again landing a punch square in his jaw making him stumble. I wasted no time and jumped up kicking him and sending him flying back. I landed swiftly and grabbed my side again trying my best to push past the pain but failing to stop the tears from escaping. I twirled the knife in my hand and threw it at Joker. It implanted itself into his hand and through the wall keeping his hand up on the wall. I wiped the tears off my cheeks and walked towards him.

"laqad aintahaa waqtak huna." I said sternly. (Your time here is over)

"Fought like a true heir little one." Ivy said walking up behind me revealing the rest of the team tied up in her vines.

"Let them go." I said with a growl.

"Oh you look so much like your mother, I wonder who the father is." Ivy said with a evil smirk.

"What do you know about my mother?" I asked glaring at her.

"That she's a lot like you. I wonder if she knows your alive. I'll make you a deal kid. I'll let you meet your mother if you let us take the brats." Ivy said smugly.

I folded my arms.

"No." I said sternly.

Half the team looked to me in shock of my answer. 

"I am giving you the chance to meet your mother." Ivy said with a growl.

"And I am giving you the choice of leaving my team alone or dealing with me." I said sternly.

She scoffed.

"You may be the heir but you were not trained with them." Ivy said rolling her eyes.

"That doesn't make me any less of an heir." I said with a growl running at her. 

She failed to dodged the kick I sent at her along with the punch and an arrow which I drove into her knee. She screamed in pain and I started to get a little dizzy. Right I'm bleeding out right now. I stood above her and she went to get up. I kicked her back down right away.

"You have no idea who your messing with Ivy. Now let my team go." I said with a glare.

She scooted back a little and I followed. I started to get more dizzy but I shook it off. She let out a sigh and let go of the vines.

"There was that so hard?" I asked with a small smile.

My smile quickly faded though as I started to stumble over. I felt a pair of sturdy arms catch me. It was then I realized how pale I was and how rapid my breathing was turning. My eyes weren't able to focus on anything, my mind was wandering all over the place. 

"Rob what do I do? She's going into  hypovolemic shock?" Wally asked frantically.

"Take her to a hospital, Kid Flash now!" M'gann yelled.
