Chapter 5

I walked out of my room in the cave wearing jeans and a sweater. I walked into the kitchen area and sat down on a stool by the counter. Miss Martian was baking something and everyone else was either at their own house or asleep. I rested my head in my hand and she turned around looking to me. It's currently 6:00am.

"Hi." She said with a small smile.

"Hey." I said returning the smile. 

"You like cookies?" She asked turning back to the oven.

"Yea." I said putting my hair up into a ponytail.

"Well I guess your lucky Wally isn't here to eat them all yet." She said with a small chuckle.

"Who's Wally?" I asked raising a brow.

She froze what she was doing.

"Did I saw Wally?" She asked turning to face me with a look of regret.

"Yea." I said raising a brow.

"You can't tell him I told you. He's Kid Flash." She said sternly.

"His name is Wally?" I asked with a chuckle.

She nodded.

"I thought it'd be James or something like that." I said with a smile.

She laughed and pulled her cookies from the oven. 

"Hey you good from last night?" She asked.

"Yea, it was just a nightmare. I get them a lot." I said looking down.

"It sounded pretty bad." She said turning to face me.

"Sounded?" I asked confused.

"Yeah, you were screaming things." She said with a pittiful smile.

"Of course I was." I said with a huff. 

Miss Martian set some cookies on a plate and handed it to me. I took them.

"Why do you guys hate me?" I asked grabbing a cookie from my plate.

"Lily, we don't hate you. It's just hard to trust you. You know since the whole light thing." She said looking down.

"Wally doesn't seem to care about that." I mumbled.

"That's just because he's Wally. But hey I trust you now." She said with a smile.

"You do?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah. You can call me M'gann or Megan, it's an earth name." She said with a smile.

I smiled and nodded.

Artemis walked into the room in her civies along with M'gann. Wally walked up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. We're going shopping to get clothes for me.

"You know you should get a kid flash shirt." Wally said looking to me with a smile.

I rolled my eyes with a smile and pushed him off me.

"Sorry Kid Flash no can do." I said catching the credit card he threw me from Batman. 

"Call me Wally." He said with a smile.

"Still not going to change my answer, Wally." I said with a smirk.

I walked out  of the cave with Artemis and M'gann. We arrived at the mall a few minutes later. M'gann picked the first store. I grabbed a romper, a couple pairs of ripped/non ripped jeans, a few cardigans, a few pairs of shorts, 2 skirts, and 4 t shirts. Thank god this isn't my money. Artemis picked the next store. From there I got 3 pairs of leggings, joggers, and three hoodies. We went to a shoe store next and I got a pair of converse and nike tennis shoes. On the way got of the mall I saw a store dedicated to heroes. I walked in and grabbed a kid flash shirt just to shut Wally up later.

We arrived back at the cave. M'gann went to her room to put the stuff she bought away. I was about to go to my room when I was face to face with Wally.

"Hey, want some help with those?" He asked with a smile.

"Sure." I said shrugging. 

He grabbed a few bags from me and we headed off to my room.

"So how was the mall?" He asked.

"Busy." I said approaching my door.

I opened it and we stepped inside. I set the bags on my bed and started unpacking it.

"Hey." Wally said grabbing the clothes from my hands.

"Wally." I said trying to grab them back.

"Sit back and relax princess, the wall-man has this under control." Wally said with a smile. 

I rolled my eyes. He grabbed my shoulders and walked me to my bed. He sat me down and walked over to the bags of clothes. Seconds later the stuff was put away and Wally stood there smiling. 

"There all done." He said wit his hands on his hips.

'Thank you." I said with a chuckle.

"Your welcome gorgeous." He said sitting down next to me. 

I blushed a little.

"I see M'gann's warmed up to you." He said with a smile.

"After a sit down talk at 6 in the morning with cookies yes." I said with a small laugh.

"YOU GOT COOKIES?" he asked, well yelled.

I laughed and he got up. 

"Where are you going?" I asked raising a brow.

"To get cookies, come on babe." He said grabbing my arm. 

A blush crept up my cheeks once more as he dragged me out of my room. He swiftly piked me up bridal style making me yelp out of shock.

"Hold on." He said with a smile.

"What?" I asked confused. 

He then took off and the whole world around us turned to slow motion. 

"Woah." I mumbled.

He ran out of the room and towards the kitchen. He got to the counter and stopped everything returning back to it's normal speed. He set me down and grabbed a cookie off the tray.

"So princess what do you think?" Wally asked chewing his mouthful of cookies. 

"We're doing that again." I said pointing a finger at him.

He chuckled and I pulled up a chair sitting next to him grabbing a cookie for myself.

Wally's POV

Lily left with Artemis and M'gann so now it was just us guys. 

"KF, you do really trust her?" Robin asked walking over to me.

"Trust who?" I asked raising a brow.

"Nightingale." Robin said folding his arms.

"Of course." I said with a smile.

"Do you?" I asked frowning a little.

"No." He said sternly.

"Dick come on. She's on the team now so might as well get to know her. You can't build a trust by ignoring her all the time. Besides, she's not bad." I said folding my arms.

"I still don't trust her Wally and I don't think I ever will." Robin said.

"And that is why she's alone in her room all day, that's why she cries herself to sleep every night, that's why she's scared to talk to any of you. Because you guys don't trust her enough to even give her a chance." I said sternly.

"Look what do you want me to do Wally? She's a child of the light!" Robin shouted.

"YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT SHE'S LIKE! NON OF YOU HAVE EVEN GIVEN A SINGLE DAMN TO TRY AND TALK TO HER, TO TRY TO GET TO KNOW HER! SHE HATES TH ROB! SHE'S TERRIFIED THEY'LL FIND HER AND BRING HER BACK!" I shouted pushing him.

I stormed off to my room and slammed the door shut.
