Chapter 11

-Ciel's POV-

When Grell was finally calmed down from his excitement over getting his precious "'Bassie's" tie, he told us the contents of the cinematic records.

What he said was relatively simple. While reviewing the man's cinematic records Grell had seen that the man had kidnapped two of the missing children. And that he would take them to an old, tall abandoned house at the edge of a forest miles away. The same house the man "Thomas" was telling us about before he died.

In the report I had received when I was first given the case, it was mentioned that the authorities had tried to investigate an old house, thinking that it might be a good hiding spot for a serial killer. But as they tried to get into the boarded up building it seemed like it would collapse at any moment.

'Was there another way in?'

Continuing on with his story, Grell said that a man, shrouded in a cloak and mask covering his face, had met up with Thomas and taken the children from him. And Thomas would be paid in return for his hard work.

'Thomas had also told us he wasn't the only person being paid to take children. Who are the others?'

I express my thoughts to Grell but he said he didn't know. Explaining that Thomas had apparently heard rumors of a man who would pay a large sum of money to anyone who did questionable tasks for him. And that a few days later he's approached by the cloaked man at a bar. Who then offered him the job of kidnapping children for him.

(Y/n) says, "so that's how he knew there were other kidnappers." I nod and look over to Sebastian who was currently looking for an extra tie.

He looks back at me and asks, "so what would you have us do?" I could now see that (y/n) has also turned to me.

I think for a minute before saying, "we'll have to find out a way to get inside that house. Sebastian, I want you go over to the house right now and see if you find any entrances that we can use that will get in the building without being seen. Once you've done that I want you back here and all three of us can discuss what to do from there.

He bows to me and quickly leaves. Grell runs out the door in an attempt to follow him but he was long gone. Grell turns to (y/n) and me, pouting.

"Hmph! Well if my 'bassie is gone then there's no point in staying!" But before he leaves he blows us each a kiss. I cringed at this.

"What a weird person..." I hear (y/n) say as she puts away the scythe she still had out. I scoff and think, ' you have no idea.' She turns to me, smiling, and continues, saying, "... I like him."

~time skip~

-Your POV-

It had probably been 3 hours till Sebastian had finally returned. When he came back he told us that the building that was related in the case was indeed very old. But he had the suspicion that there maybe a hidden latch somewhere around the perimeter of the building that would allow safe entrance into the building. And he was correct. In addition to that he also said there was a small house nearby that had been abandoned years ago. 'Oh yes, I remember that was also mentioned in the case file but since it was already searched and seen as unrelated to the case, Ciel found it pointless to investigate further.'

I can see Ciel think it over before finally saying,"alright, we'll go tomorrow after everyone in the village has fallen asleep or are at least out of the streets. And after this is all over we will have to interview the people here a lot more thoroughly in order to find the other kidnappers. But for now, it's late, let's just go to sleep," he turns to me as he says this and I nod, he turns back to Sebastian and continues,"Sebastian, I want you to keep an eye out for anything suspicious and to wake me up if something happens."

"Of course, young master."

And with that we went back to sleep and waited in anticipation for the next day.

Sorry it's taken me so long to update. And for the short chapters buts schools over so now I have some free time. Hopefully I can at least write two more chapters or until this story ends. And I hope it was worth the wait.😅
