"Arrghhh...my head..."
Lisa struggled to get up. The light coming in from the window was blinding. She groaned and plopped back in bed throwing the covers over her.
Then it all started coming back to her. The party. The alcohol. The kiss. And then...nothing. what happened after that? Did she black out? How did she get home?
OMG Anthony!! What had she done? She curled up into a ball and cried.
.............
It was Saturday afternoon and Anthony had skipped his usual morning swim. He was still in bed. Staring up at the ceiling blankly. How could he have done that?

*Monday Morning*
........................*Lisa*..................
"Good morning! Well you're here pretty early. Did you have fun on Friday? Am sorry I pushed it on you last minute but my kids and I are sooo grateful," Diana beamed at Lisa as soon as she walked in. She came round her desk and grabbed Lisa's hands, but noticed something was wrong and her smile fell."Hey Lisa, what's wrong? You don't look so good...Is everything alright?"
Lisa managed a weak smile and pulled herself away from the older lady.
"I'm fine. I guess am still tired from Friday. I had a great time though."
Diana looked at her for a second more and smiled, "Hey, you can tell me anything you know that right?"
"I know, thanks." Lisa said before walking to Anthony's office, feeling Diana's eyes still on her back. When she got to his office she gasped and almost tripped when she saw him slumped over his desk furiously typing away at his desktop.
"Oh am sorry I didn't expect you to be here so early. I'll come back later sir."
She was about to turn and leave before he replied."Sit." He said, without even looking up.
Lisa hesitated for a second before closing the door behind her and placing herself carefully on the couch with her legs crossed.
She fidgeted with her fingers feeling anxious for some reason like a child waiting for her punishment. Looking up, she saw him still engaged in his work with a stern expression on his face. That's not how he looked on Friday, she thought as she remembered the kiss. Feeling immediately guilty she distracted herself with arranging the scattered magazines and papers on the coffee table next to her.
"Stop that. You're distracting me. I'm almost done."
She was startled at their sound of his voice. She quickly went back to fidgeting with her hands. She knew she was about to be fired and was waiting on him to confirm it so she came prepared.
"Okay am done," Anthony said, leaning back into his chair, tapping his pen against his lips. She stared at them for a moment thinking how she hadn't noticed how soft they looked against his other hard features.
"Lisa, you're here so early it isn't even 7 yet."
"I...uh...I couldn't sleep."
"Lisa, we need to talk about what happened on Friday. Look, you were drunk and I took advantage of..."
"No please don't say that. Can we not talk about that? Actually I came in early to hand this over..."
With that she looked through her bag and fished out a small white envelope.
"I'm sorry."
Solemnly she walked over and handed her letter of resignation to him.
Opening it while looking at her, he opened it. It was hand written. And had just a few words on it.
