WARNING: If you have not read my book Kept Behind Enemy Lines, this will make no sense. If you are currently reading it, this contains spoilers for the end chapters.

I'm sitting in the kitchen area with Fangirl, humming away and thinking about how I could continue the story. Normally this would be Planner's job, but she had locked herself in the Planning Room and nobody could get in. This is also commonly known as "Writer's Block". So it's up to me to figure out what happens next. This is where filler chapters come from.

"Watchya trying to do?" Fangirl asks, peering over my shoulder.

"Planner has Writer's Block." I say simply.

"Did you try the Oddfellows trick?" We had this thing that could sometimes get Planner's ideas flowing, but that story is for another time.

"Yep. Nothing." I sigh.

"Lemme have a look at the story." So I had her my phone and she begins to read. We sit there in silence on the bar stools behind the kitchen counter. Her reading, and I trying to come up with something. Anything.

A few hours later, Logic walks in, retrieving an apple from the fridge. At that very moment, Fangirl speaks up.

"He should lose his memory." Fangirl says, talking about Percy.

"Okay." I mindlessly agree, jotting it down.

"WHAT?" Logic yells. She's already read the book so far. "How can you just accept that? How does he even lose his memo-"

"Take it up to Planner yeah?" I say, tearing off the paper and handing it to Fangirl.

"Of course." She says, Logic being completely ignored. Logic narrows her eyes at me once Fangirl leaves. I simply shrug in return.

"Better than nothing."

Yes, it's weird. But this is how it went down. This is also my explanation of that wonderful thing called "writers block".
