I put back the invitation in the envelope and I walked back upstairs and went in the room. I went straight for the bed and sat down. I was shaking a bit after I read the invitation that Derek and Lydia sent in the post.

Maybe he did move on with Lydia. I'm not complaining but we are still married. I wonder if he still cares about that probably not seeing as he with Lydia now. He probably did it to make me jealous not that I'm blaming him.

After all I'm the one who started this whole thing by giving in the Jackson's charms. Well, I have to look on the brighter side of things. I'm free from Derek and his drunken abusive ways. My thoughts were interrupted by Jackson stepping in the room. He had his towel wrapped around his waist.

"I thought you were showering?" I asked looking at him.

"Yeah I was. I just as was going in I heard the door." He folds his arms together and stood next to the door. "Allison? Did you see who was downstairs?" He asked as he walked towards me. "I thought I heard the door open. Who was it? Did you see?"

"Yes. I did. It's nothing. Nobody special..." I stood up and I looked at him. "Er, it's just the postman dropping off letters to houses... You know doing his job." He kissed my forehead and walked back to the door.

"Oh, okay. I'll be back in a few minutes. The hot water is still running." He said.

"Er Jackson... I..." He stopped walking. He looked at me at the concern of his eyes.

"Yeah...?" He said.

"Hmmph... Look at this?" I told him nervously. He turned around fully.

"What is that? A letter?" He asked. "You opened it." He looked at me.

"Look... don't freak out. Just look." I said. "Here." I handed him the letter and he took it. I was nervous. I didn't know what he would think or say when he read it. He takes out the invitation.

"It's an invitation... You thought I would angry be because of this?" He said.

"Look who it is from." I told him.

"...From Derek and Lydia? What the... A dinner party? Please join me at my house for dinner tomorrow evening and bring Jack along too from Lydia and Derek. I don't believe this. Why is he inviting us?"

"That's not all he sent." I said.

"What are you talking about?" he asked with a surprising tone.

"I mean this." I showed Jackson the photo of myself.

"A picture... of you. What? I don't follow. Is something on it?"

"Yes." I replied. "It's a song. Or rather part of it. It's addressed to you. It's..."

"Let's me see." He walked over and took the picture from me. "Did you read it?" He looked at the picture then at me. "Did you?"

"Yes but... it's weird. It's part of an Evanescence song." I replied.

"What? Evanescence? That is weird." He said laughing. "Fear is only in our minds taking over all the time. Fear is only in our minds. But it's, taking over all the time. You poor, sweet, innocent thing; dry your eyes and testify. You know you live to break me, don't deny sweet sacrifice. One day I'm going to forget your name. And one sweet day you're going to drown in my, lost pain." Jackson laughed at what Derek is saying through the song sweet sacrifice.

"Do you think it's funny?!" I asked. "I don't know what he's talking about? Do you?"

"Yeah. He's talking about you Allison. He's letting you go for good." He continued laughing. I took back the picture. "Maybe this his way of coping with everything that happened between you two. I'm going to have a long shower. We'll go to his dinner party."

"We will. I thought you would say no to the dinner or something. Do you think he invited Stiles and Scott too?" I asked robbing my shoulder. He walked over to me.

"Maybe? Who knows? It would be rude not to go right?" He said.

"He doesn't really like you remember. He almost killed you downstairs. If I was there, he probably would have... Because of what we did." He kisses my lips. "Don't worry about that? I'm not dead. We are going to spend the rest of our lives together. Okay. I'm not going anywhere." He smiled.
"I just can't shake the feeling that Derek might be planning something bad to make me suffer you know. Maybe we shouldn't go I mean..." He put his hands on my shoulders.

"Don't be scary. He can't do anything worse than what he did to you when you were with him."

"I know but I'm afraid his going to take it out on you instead." I said anxiously.

"Please stopping worrying everything will be fine. After all I'm with you now." He smiled then walked away.

"Still just to be safe I'm going to call Scott and ask him for a favourite." I whispered to myself.
