Jordan's POV-
"JESSE!!" I yell as my best mate runs out of his house towards me. We do this weird hug thing while jumping around like girls.
"Man I hope no one sees us like this" He laughs and throws his bag into Mum's car. "Hello Lee-anne." Jesse hugs my mum. A bit more normally than me might I add. We say a quick hello to his parents then mum starts the hour long drive back to our house.
"So we are going to the beach tomorrow with some new friends of mine and -"
"Cough his latest crush cough" Mum interrupts me with a smirk. Jesse raises an eyebrow at me and elbows my rib. "Ow" I stick my tongue out at him "Mum please, she is a friend of mine. I swear if you make it awkward between us I will post an embarrassing photo of you all over the internet." I finish triumphantly. She knows how many followers I have on twitter.
She sighs "Fine, but Jessica is a different story you know."
I shake my head and pull out my phone. Me and Jesse pose for selfies. I pull a kissy face and peace sign while Jes just sits there with this awkward smile of his and a thumbs up. Then mum turns the radio on and a One Direction song comes on.
"Hey Jord you should cover this song." Jesse says and Mum nods in agreement. Hmm maybe I will. I listen closer to the lyrics and try to sing along. "When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight, It just won't feel right. Cos I can love you more than this."
I sing the rest of the song trying out different pitch to see what works. When the song finishes mum has tears in her eyes and Jes has a small smile on his face. "What? Was it bad?"
Mum immediately snaps out of it "No honey you were amazing. I'm so proud of how well you've done in your singing classes."
"Yeah mate you're getting really good." Jesse pipes up.
"Thanks mum, thanks Jes."
When we finally arrive home it is 8 oclock and dark outside. Jesse and I thank Mum then run to my room. We quickly fall into the familiar routine of setting up the air bed in my room and throwing stuffed toys all over the place. It's practically a tradition now to mess up my room, just to annoy mum haha.
Then Jes finds a nerf gun and shoots me, creating an instant war. In the middle of our impromptu nerf gun fight, big sister Jessica walks in and throws a black shopping bag at me. I don't even try to catch it. With my athletic skills I'd probably blow something up. I'm so un-co.
"What's this?" I ask her, pulling out a big pile of fluffy green fabric from inside the bag.
"There was a stocktake thing at work today. Turtle onesie for you and a dinosaur one for Jes. Wow this room is a pigsty guys."
I finally make sense of the mess of fabric and see that what she told me is correct. "Woah thanks Jessie! You rock!" We tackle her into a great big bear hug and give her kisses on each cheek. Going full European style on her haha.
Until her bf Kaiden walks in and saves her anyway. "Woah boys what do you think you're doing with my girl?" He laughs and helps my sister up off the floor. They do make a cute couple.
"Thank you, my knight in shiny armour" Jess laughs and kisses Kaiden.
"Ugh" Me and Jesse groan at the same time and cover our eyes.
"What? Oh right, soz not soz." Kaiden says, very unapologetically as he drags my sister out of the so called pig sty.
"Gross." Jesse laughs, shaking his head as he shuts the door.
"Yeah but you gotta admit that they're cute. I love seeing my big sis with a smile on her face." I pull on my new onesie over my trackies and shirt. Its a perfect fit, and sooo warm. Thanks heaps Jess!
