Dear Eacker,

To put this frankly, I love you and wish to start a new life with you. I know there have been rough patches and unsteadiness between us and they were partly my fault, but all of that aside, I still wish to be with you. You have this stupidity that just has a magnetizing pull on me and I have decided not to fight it any longer. Consequences and laws be damned alongside the bastards that enforce them.

You must be pretty upset with me, I know, but please consider this from my point of view for it is not so different from your own. We're both from high stances in society and could die for what we have done together. Like it or not, you are tied to me indefinitely. It's only a matter of if your willing to be with me or not.

Before my 21st birthday, I will be leaving the Union and travel the world in the mindset of just knowing what's out there. Will you come with me? It'll be awfully boring to be alone during this long journey and I would absolutely love having someone to be with. This is a lot to ask since we have just gotten on somewhat good terms but I would not do so if I didn't think our 'relationship' was worth a try. Please respond within the next week either with a letter of your own or your presence. Between you and me, I would prefer your presence at night.

From,

P. Hamilton

Philip sighed anxiously and snatched the envelope from his bedside table. In a few days, he'll have sent the letter and maybe received an answer.

He knew the letter sounded rushed and blunt but he had to put himself out there. There's nothing to be gained by being hesitant and vague. George had to know what he felt and what he wanted.

Eliza Jr poked her head the door and smiled softly. "Are you done?" She asked. Philip has been at this for hours. She knows how much is on the line for him and was determined to keep anyone from disturbing him. She was way too observant for a girl her age. Seriously.

Philip sealed the envelope and turned to give his sister back a smile. "Yes, I am."

"Good because Will and I are ready for stories."

"Alright. Tell Will that I'm on my way and the both of you get ready for bed."

Eliza giggled and nodded, running out and going down the hall. She was a sweet girl. Philip could already see the boys lining up to ask for her hand. As her older brother, he and the rest of Hamilton boys will have to kill them all.

Casting one last look at the envelope, Philip deeply sighed and stood up. He walked out the room and went to Will and Eliza's room. Three weeks ago, they had to move Eliza into William's room so they could make room for the baby. Seemed reasonable because the baby would cry all hours of the night and interrupt their roommate's sleep.

Upon opening the door, Philip smiled at his youngest siblings. They were both in their respective beds and were ready. William even had a book picked out already.

"Ah, Gulliver's Travels. One of my favorites. Pops used to read this to me and Alex when we were little," Philip reminisced, taking the book from his brother's hands. He opened the book to a random page and ran his fingers over the ink-stained paper. It was quite old and worn from the many times he, and others in this house, had read and reread it. This book was part of his childhood and Philip doubted that he'll ever get bored of it.

Eliza smiled and shifted underneath her sheets. "Did he read it to Angel?"

Philip huffed with a smile and shook his head. "No, he didn't. Angel wasn't into books when we were kids. She'd rather look at birds."
