*matt jumps away from erika and hides and she goes to the door. unstable and confused from what just happened*

jake: erika, you texted me and you said you needed me.
erika: i didnt text you.
jake: have you been crying?
erika: no, not at all
jake: you have, somethings going on here

mackenzie pov;
when i saw that matt was back i knew erika would need help. i went onto erikas phone to find someone i knew shed be happy to see. ive always been told by erika that i cant do anything when hes around her because she doesnt want me to get hurt too. so i texted jake so then he could calm her or do something. ive never been able to cheer erika up so i knew i needed to do something.

erika: nope i dont know what youre talking about *starts crying*
mackenzie: why dont you go up to your room with jake and explain. it might make you feel better.
matt: WHAT IS GOING ON? AND WHO IS HE?
erika: erm matt this is jake and jake this is matt
jake: erm, hi
matt: BUT WHY IS HE HERE? YOU LOVE ME DONT YOU?
erika: i dont exactly know why hes here but what i do know is that i dont love you.
jake: wait, who is he?
erika: this is my ex-boyfriend matt.
jake: so is this why youre crying?
erika: yes.

*jake hugs erika*

(mackenzie manages to get rid of matt and jake and erika are talking upstairs)

jake: so exactly what happened between you and matt?
erika: it goes back to when i was in high school. i met him and he was so nice. we became boyfriend and girlfriend, but then something happened to his mom. she was in a car crash and passed away. and after that, he acted different. which i dont blame him ive gone through this too. and suddenly he became violent. he'd get stressed quickly and then after that he'd hit me if i did something wrong or tell him that he was wrong. after we graduated school, i got an apartment with him and one day caught him with another girl in bed *crys*
