"Look, it's the twins!" I opened the door and outside, the two little drumming hands shot up into the air as they greeted Mr Do and me.
"Mama said you're both coming for dinner!" Hanbyul, as always, was the first to speak up.
"Are you really coming too, Caramel Man?" Haneul tilted his head so that Mr Do was more easily visible to him. There was a pause and we all looked at Mr Do who had, a now very familiar flustered expression on his face.
"I am," he nodded quickly.
"Mama said dinner's almost ready so you two can come down now if you'd like," Hanbyul peeked around our legs to try and look into the apartment.
"Mr Cat's sleeping right now," I smiled, ruffling his hair.
"Then can you come now? I want to show you our room!" Hanbyul grabbed my arm excitedly.
"Oh, sure I guess," I looked over my shoulder at Mr Do who nodded. "Lead the way!" I let Hanbyul pull me along with him.
"Ah, aren't you going to lock your door?" Mr Do tapped my shoulder and I rummaged in my pockets, pulling out my keys and handing it to him.
"Do you mind?" I looked down at both my hands being occupied, Hanbyul latched on to the left and Haneul onto the right. Mr Do nodded, a small smile playing at his lips as he turned to lock the door and followed behind us as we made our way to the twins' home.
"Well if it isn't Mr Do!" Mr Park greeted us as we entered.
"Ah, hello sir," Mr Do bowed, his ears turning red.
"You can relax, I'm just teasing! Good to finally have you here," he clapped Mr Do on the back, laughing.
"Come see our room!" Hanbyul pulled me forward and we entered the twins' room. Half of it was organised while the other half was chaotic. Hanbyul headed over to the organised half and began to open his toy chest. Haneul went to the opposite end and rummaged through his already open toy chest.
"Huh," Mr Do and I spoke in unison at the sight. We turned to look at one another and held back laughter.
"It's a little unexpected, isn't it? I always thought Hanbyul would be the messy one of the two," I whispered.
"Me too," Mr Do nodded.
"I guess why they say you shouldn't be too quick to judge," I smiled, crouching down so Hanbyul could show me the figurine in his hand.
"Look, I even have one that looks like Caramel Man!" Hanbyul pulled out a Thomas the Train and I couldn't stop the laughter that followed.
"It does kind of look like him," I glanced at Mr Do who had a fairly blank expression as Hanbyul held the toy near his face for comparison.
"Except Caramel Man doesn't smile as much," Haneul's comment caused Mr Do's mouth to twitch slightly and his brows to furrow before his expression became blank again. I guess that was him being surprised? It was difficult to read him, but I was confident I could learn to decipher the man the more time we spent together.
"Dinner is ready! You two put your toys away and wash up," Mrs Park peeked in from the doorway and the twins rushed to put their toys back. Hanbyul neatly sorted everything back while Haneul tossed his stuff aside before they raced out of the room together behind Mrs Park.
"Why don't you two come and sit with me, the table's already set," Mr Park's voice came from outside and I led the way out of the twins' room to the dining area. I sat down in the same seat as before and Mr Do sat down in the seat next to mine. He looked nervous the way his fingers moved over his knees repetitively and his eyes darted from the plate in front of him to random objects around the room.
