Taylor and I walked out of the airport, we searched for Shawn and finally saw him. We walked over.

"How was the flight?" Shawn asked.

"Long." I replied with a smile.

"Well, you guys can stay at my house." He stated and grabbed my bags. He placed them in the trunk with Taylor's. "I'll you get some rest tonight and we start tomorrow."

"My new single comes out tonight at midnight." I smiled. "My album is almost done and I'm in fucking Canada to record with Shawn freaking Mendes."

"I'm recording with Hallie freaking Caniff." He laughed.

Taylor slid in the backseat as I climbed in the front seat. Shawn started the car as I got out my phone. I went on to snapchat and took a picture of the three of us.

I posted it on my story with the caption "getting shit done."

Shawn drove to his house, which wasn't far from the airport. We got out and he helped me with my bags.

"Mom!" He yelled through the house.

She walked to the front and saw us, "Hallie! Taylor!"

"Karen." I smiled and hugged her.

"It's been too long." She said. She pulled back and hugged Taylor.

"Is Aaliyah here?" I asked.

"Upstairs in her room." She replied. "She's excited to see you."

"I'll bring your bags to the guest room." Shawn said. "Go ahead."

"Thanks." I said and walked through the house. I ran up the stairs and walked over to her room. I pushed the door open slightly. "Aaliyah?"

I saw her turn around at her desk, "Hallie!"

"Hey girly." I said as she got up and hugged me.

"Can I just say how obsessed with your song I am?" She laughed. "I can't wait for your new one tonight! And the one with Shawn! Plus your album!"

"I'm glad you like them." I smiled.

"I also have major questions because Shawn doesn't answer any of them."

"Ask away." I told her as I sat on her bed.

She sat in her desk chair, "To start off, are you and Aaron still dating?"

"No." I stated.

"Why not?"

"It's kind of personal." I said.

"Makes sense." She said. "Are you going back on Magcon this year?"

"Yes." I said.

"When is your album coming out?" She asked.

"I'm not sure yet, because not all of the songs are done."

"Can you sing the ones you do have done for me?" She asked. "At least part of them."

"I can sing one." I said and thought through the songs we had. I smiled at her.

She stared at me intently.

"I can swear, I can joke. I say what's on my mind. If I drink, if I smoke. I keep up with the guys and you'll see me holding up my middle finger to the world. Fuck your ribbons and your pearls 'cause I'm not just a pretty girl." I sang to her.

"That is amazing Hallie!" She squealed. "Please, please sing another."

"I can't." I smiled. "But I promise you'll hear them soon."
