“Hallie!” I heard Taylor yell as he jumped on me. “You’re eighteen.”
“Why are you on me?” I whined, trying to push him off. “I was sleeping.”
“Get up.” He said. “We’re going to IHop.”
“No.”
“You love IHop.” I heard Aaron chuckle.
“I want sleep.”
“We’re in a hotel, you can’t be that comfortable.” Cam laughed.
I picked up one of the pillows and threw it at him.
“Seriously, we’re in New York and you want to act like this?” Taylor asked.
I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I looked at them.
“What time is it?”
“Eight.” Cam said.
“It’s my birthday and you fucking woke me up before ten?” I yelled.
“We have a lot planned.” Cam said.
“Like what?”
“Well first, breakfast.” Taylor said. “Then the two of us have two hours together. Then you have that with Nash, then Cam and then Aaron. Afterwards you’re unwrapping our presents.”
“You guys annoy me.” I said.
“Go get dressed.” Aaron said.
“Fine.” I said and stood up. I grabbed a random dress and spandex from my bag. I grabbed a matching bandanna and went into the bathroom. I changed, then brushed my teeth and curled my hair. I put the bandanna on and walked out.
“You look beautiful.” Aaron said.
“Now IHop time.”------------------------------
“Okay, Taylor you take your sister, be back at the hotel by eleven.” Aaron said.
“Done.” He said and dragged me to his car.
I slid in the front seat, “Where are we going?”
“Somewhere that you’ve wanted to go since you were ten.” He said.
“Skydiving?” I asked excitedly.
“Unfortunately, no. Too long.”
“Damn.” I said and sat back.
“You’ll like this just as much.” He said.
“I can’t think of anything.”
“Just wait.” He chuckled.
I turned the radio on and listened to the commercials.
“Up next we have Hallie Caniff along with Jack and Jack Roll em up.” The guy said as I looked to the radio. “Here’s to her eighteenth birthday too.”
I looked to Taylor and started crying. I got out my phone and went on to snapchat as my song played.
“Guys!” I yelled. “My song is on the fucking radio!”
I started crying harder as I placed my hand over my mouth. I posted the video on my story and started singing along.
“The shorter the better, the hotter the weather. Who wears short shorts?” I sang then said along with the radio. “I wear short shorts!”
I started dancing in my seat as Taylor laughed. When it was over, they played a Justin Bieber song.
“They played my fucking song!” I yelled, grabbing my brother’s arm.
