Raion finally gets the front door open and we both step inside. My mouth was gaping as I looked around.
"Oh my god..." I mumbled, barely loud enough for Rai to hear me.
He laughed as he spoke,"Yeah, you're mother got the inside redone along with new furniture. No wonder she's and interior designer!"
I nodded in response, still gawking at every detail from the walls to the floors. This might not be as bad as I thought, maybe I can enjoy this. I smiled at the thought of no one bothering me for five whole months.
"James? Hello?" Rai said, snapping me back into reality.
I turned to him and stuttered, "Wha- huh?"
He laughed under his breath as he spoke,"Let me show you around the place, you can get to bed right after!"
I yawned and nodded as he motioned me towards him.
"So!" He began,"This is obviously the living area, it has a working TV and some gaming consoles you might like."
I frowned, I don't like video games.
Raion must have noticed my slight cringing because he cleared his throat and went on with the little tour.
"Up the stairs is your bedroom, and just below it is the kitchen."
I was shocked by the kitchens' size, it had every appliance used for cooking.
I was definitely checking that out later, cooking was one of my favorite things to do.
Raion looked at his watch and yawned.
"Hey... I'll let you explore your new temporary home for now. I need to get home, it's a pretty long drive back to where I live..."
I nodded and looked at the giant clock to my right.
11:42?!
How long was I driving, I could of sworn the clock in my car was right...
"Yeah, that sounds fine... I'll see you around?" I asked, still shaken by how late it was.
The messy blonde smiled,"Yeah, my work address and number is on the entertainment center if you need anything!"
He headed for the door, but before exiting he said something a little unsettling.
"Just... Don't go into the attic. I'm not sure what the last owners' left behind..."
Before I could respond to his questioning statement, he shut the door behind him.
I stood there for a moment staring at the door. Listening to each tick of the clock next to me.
I looked up from where I was standing, and saw the stairs that led to my bedroom. I'll explore tomorrow, I need to sleep and get some stuff off my mind.
I called for my dog as I went up the stairs, and he followed close behind. The hall to the bedroom was rather long, I passed by several different rooms along the way.
When I finally reached my door and opened it, I wasn't shocked by what I found.
The room had been painted my favorite colors, and was decorated with posters of my favorite bands. I looked at the bed covered in black and purple spots.
My mother sure did know me.
I laughed to myself quietly as Max made himself right at home, and walked into the washroom.
The bathroom had all sorts of things already in stock, like face wash and toothpaste. I shrugged and put the face wash on, even though I never get acne...
I looked back when I heard Max whiny softly, time to get some rest I guess.
I washed the cleanser off and change into a baggy black t-shirt, along with some dark purple boxers and hopped into bed. Max cuddled up next to me and fell asleep in a split second.
I sighed quietly and shut my eyes.
Tonight is going to be a long night...
AN/: Sorry for such a short chapter, the next one will be better.
