I woke up the next morning to the piercing sound of my alarm clock. I reached over to hit it until it was able to shut up. I groaned, once it all dawned at me that I had to get up for school. But at least there was a silver lightning.

Today were the soccer tryouts, which included the guys. Including Hayden. Including Emily. Including Dylan, and a whole bunch of people that ran the rumor mill.

With one last groan, I pulled off the covers from my body and looked outside my window. It was sunny outside which cheered my mood up. I've always loved the hot sunny days of summer, and the nice warm-cool days of spring.

I went over to my closet, and picked out my favorite black shorts and slipped them on. I got a hold of my silky floral tulip back tank top and topped it off with black sandals.

Once I was done, I went downstairs into the kitchen, and watched Ben chug down his cereal.

"Slow down, you’re going to choke and then I will have to save your ass, and it is too early in the morning to use all that energy," I tried to hide my smile but the corners of my lips gave me away.

"Well glad to hear the my baby sister has such a sweet and compassionate side towards those who are choking," Ben said as my smile finally broke through, "besides, I'm in hurry. I have no time to enjoy my breakfast today."

I looked at clock that was placed above the stove, "Why? We have half an hour to get to school.”

"Yeah, well I kind of promise some people that I would pick them up today, and there's no more space left in the car," I turned back to see his guilty eyes.

"Oh."

"I'm sorry Ari but can you get a ride from Kelly?" He said. “Unless you really need the ride. You can sit on someone’s lap or something.”

I just stood there letting his words sink in, "Not its fine. I’ll ask Kelly."

"Thanks Ari.” Ben walks towards the front door after putting his bowl in the sink, "Sorry again. I'll make it up to you, I promise."

I shook my head, "Don't worry about it."

With that he left, slamming the front door behind him. I took a deep breath and replayed the last five minutes in my head, and I suddenly felt very lonely. I really needed to get some friends soon.

"Here we are," Kelly parked on the curve, next to the school.

"Thanks," I said as I grabbed all of my stuff, and double-checked I had all of my soccer gear with me.

"You got all of your soccer stuff?" She asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"Do you need a ride after school, or do you have one?" Kelley said.

"Uh…I have one. I'm sure Ben will be able to take me." I said, even though I wasn't completely sure.

"Okay then. Have good day, and see you at home. Oh and good luck on those tryouts." She smiled at me.

"Thanks. See you," I closed the car door, and started to walk to my locker. I was looking down fixing my bags on my shoulder when I felt myself bump into a hard wall. All of the stuff that was inside my school bag fell out, littering the school floor.

"Oh shit. My bad," I heard a voice say. I looked up to see a cute looking boy bending down to pick up my things.

"That's ok," I said. I bent down to pick up all of my stuff that had fallen on the floor along with him. I spared a glance at him seeing him pick up some spare papers that had fallen out of my notebook. He had blonde curls that framed the top half of his face, freckles at the bridge of his nose he must have gotten from the sun, and an adorable smile. I looked back down and picked up the rest of my things. We both got up and grabbed the books and papers he passed to me, and put them in my bag.
