If Peter had said at any point in his life he had been nervous, he would like to apologise because he had lied. Never before had he been this nervous and it certainly didn't help that Clint kept mentioning everything that could go wrong no matter how crudely Natasha cussed him out. Although Tony was trying to help, nothing seemed to help. Peter was close to tears, pacing in the room as he recited his vows before stopping and turning to Tony with another 'what if'.

"Oh for fucks sakes, Peter," Sam groaned, stopping Peter in the middle of panicking. "Why are you here?" Sam demanded.

Peter tilted his head in confusion, but Sam seemed to be waiting for an answer.

"To marry MJ," Peter said hesitantly, narrowing his eyes slightly.

"Why?" Steve asked, a lot nicer than Sam had.

"Because I love her," he said, still hesitant. He had no clue where Sam and Steve were going with this.

"Does she love you?" Steve asked kindly. Peter's eyes widened and Steve realised his mistake.

"I think so," Peter replied before turning to his dad with a wild look in his eyes. "What if she doesn't? Oh god, this is such a bad idea!"

"Oh, she loves you," Pepper said, slipping into the room and walking over to Peter. "Don't worry, she's just as nervous as you."

Clint scoffed and Pepper glared at him.

"Okay, maybe not," Pepper conceded, "But that's because she's being reasonable!"

"Pepper, I don't think—"

Pepper interrupted him sharply and Peter closed his mouth firmly.

"You are going to go out there," she told him, "And get married because you love her and she loves you. No more 'what ifs'. You're walking with me down that aisle and you're going to have the best day of your life, understand?"

Peter nodded quickly. Nodding back, Pepper grabbed Peter's arm and turned to address the team, "Let's go, everyone!"

They had a wedding to get to.

Maybe Pepper was right, Peter thought. Things seemed to be going okay. Michelle had walked down the aisle with a smile on her face and looking absolutely gorgeous, so at least she looked like she wanted to get married. His vows could have gone better though. Turns out his dad had been right when he said practicing wouldn't help, he would just forget them anyway. Michelle didn't have trouble reciting her vows, but she didn't laugh when Peter stumbled over his.

All in all, the wedding went well. Steve had barely said they could kiss when Peter had grabbed Michelle and kissed her. As everyone laughed, he turned red but happily walked with her back down the aisle. When they disappeared to sign their marriage certificate, Peter couldn't keep back his giddy smile.

"Go, tiny Stark!" Scott yelled, leading the team into the room.

"I didn't actually think you'd do it," Sam admitted with a smirk.

Peter rolled his eyes and hugged Sam anyway. Despite being entirely unhelpful, Peter was glad Sam was there. Who else was he supposed to accidentally spill his wine on during the reception dinner?
