A Step in the Bubble

"Emi, are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Asked Katashi-kun.

"It's okay! I'm gonna be just fine. Geez, Katashi-kun you worry too much!" I answered. Today, I'm heading to Mitsuke to settle in and live with my aunt and her two kids. I don't want to leave the Tokyo city life and all of my friends, but this could be the chance I've been needing.

"Katashi-kun, thanks a lot."

"Uh..yeah..no problem, anytime, because I've known you forever, so... just make sure..hm." Katashi-kun fumbled.

Katashi-kun is really nice and sweet. I've know him since we were little. He's older than me by 3 months, so he's like my senpai. I can always count on him for help and answers.

"Hpff.. Katashi.. It' okay. You can be the first person to come over and visit! We can always talk and it'll be just like normally! I'm sure!" I said.

The reason for me moving, is because my Father is gone. He left me a note saying how he needed to relocate, but because I was still in school, he couldn't take me with. He wrote to me that my aunt in Mitsuke always loved me like one of her own and she would gladly adopt me if I needed. My mom died three years ago when I was ten and it was a car accident. But I've moved on from it.

"Emi.."

"I swear I'm going to be alright. Come let's go before I miss the bus." I decided affirmatively. I had on my boots and my bag. I was only to visit for a night and come back the next day.

Sitting in the car, the trees waved goodbye to me and the buildings kept growing taller. Pedestrians were moving at the speed of Flash. I arrived at the bus stop along with Katashi and Tiger who were seeing me off.

I was bidding my goodbyes to Tiger, when I encountered a meeting with the boy, sitting on the bench waiting for the bus. I later found out his name was Takaki Hibiki.
