So, it's Jess here. I don't really know where to start. We have not been on this account since 2015 and therefore we never finished the Janoskians fancfic :(. I would love to say there was an actually reason for this happening but unfortunately I don't have an excuse.
When we started writing this fanfic we were young teens, obsessed with the Janoskians, 5sos, one direction and others. This fanfic blew up slightly more than we ever expected it to. I remember me and Soph being so proud of ourselves when this fanfic got into the top five of the Janoskians fanfics and on the first page of the overall fanfics. Being devoted fans was our life.
Our life during writing the fanfic
When we started the fanfic I think we were about 13/14? We loved the Janoskians and wanted to set up a group like them. So me and Soph and 2 of our best friends (guess the names of these friends😂) we decided on the name Javvess as it's a mixture of all our names. We made some youtube videos and had a twitter following, we also set this fanfic up as a group, I'm pretty sure liv and Jade wrote some of the first chapters? I can't remember. One day we were having a discussion and added another friend into the group... Alice. (Liv won't mind me saying this) but liv and Alice were never good friends, they didn't like each other but they tried because they were both friends with us.
I don't exactly remember what happened but one day we had an argument with Liv (I cant remember what this was about) but it was seriously bad. I was on FaceTime to Jade and said " do you think she would delete our social media accounts" we decided that she probably would (I know, you want to know what the argument was about but we've tried so hard to remember but we just can't) so I was in charge of changing the wattpad passwords (by this point it was mine and Sophie's baby) and Jade was in charge of the twitter. In hindsight we should have done the YouTube password as soon as the argument was over- but we were stupid and didn't. (I would also like to point out that this channel had just surpassed 150 subs. Which back in the day was good and it was going up by the day, with people subbing who read the fanfic and interacting with twitter).
As you can imagine we were FUMING, I felt like our hard work had been ripped up in front of us by someone who knew how much that channel meant to us. You can can probably take a wild guess at where this argument took place in regards to the fanfic, because we obviously couldn't just change her name or delete her, so we wanted to vent our anger. (We were teen girls- lots of hormones, it was petty we know)
We recreated the youtube channel but it didn't mean the same to us, so we eventually stopped. Me and Liv also didn't speak for A WHOLE YEAR after this happened (I don't think jade and Sophie did either- but I cant remember) because I was so hurt by what had happened.
Me and Sophie continued to write this fanfic and this was when it started to get more and more reads, we just loved reading what people thought and interacting with you guys that we updated it as much as possible.
We then started working on our own fanfics and I started writing fanfics with another friend aswell. I just loved making up all these stories with people who I loved😂- damn I wish real love was as good as the love I made up in my head! Also, can't remember if it made it into the book or if we had to write a separate book or if it got taken out completely but Soph full on wrote an in-depth sex scene at 14? Like WE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT TO DO IN SEX AT THAT AGE AND SHE STILL DID IT!- love that.
It had been around a year- we still hadn't spoken to liv. But we all did DT food together and me and Soph got put OPPOSITE her, I remember for the first few lessons we would just shoot evil glares across the counters. Until one day (now I think this is how it happened- I'm like 90% sure) the boy that liv shared the counter with told us to stop hating on each other basically😂 although this didn't work at first, the next few lessons we started talking more and laughing and to this day she is still one of my NO.1's and I love her. We also like to joke about this falling out all the time😂
I'm sure our uploads starting to get slower by this point in our lives. We kind of had writers block- we were also now doing our GCSEs and the fangirls we once were, they were kind of calming down. Our GCSEs also took up ALOT of our time and I can't speak for Soph but my love life was ... well it wasn't going to well (think I'm going to start a little book after my failed love life- if you'd like it give this a comment or tweet me, Jess_Coupland).
By the time we left school, we were at different colleges and we weren't checking up/following the Janoskians as much and weren't invested so the fanfic just kind of... stopped. Although we have had multiple conversations about actually finishing especially as we are now quarantined so if you want that, give this a vote! (Is that still what you do???)
Mine and Sophie's friendship
When me and Soph were at school, we saw each other five days a week, we went to concerts together, we spoke on snapchat/facebook everyday. We then left school and went to different colleges (i then went back to my 6th form, that's another story- but we were still at different colleges). Now I found this so hard. I went from seeing her everyday without even thinking about it, to not having her there. It was like my right arm was 30 miles away. I wouldn't say our friendship strained in this, we were young and we just needed to adapt to not being in school together anymore (me and Sophie had been in school together since we were four and we were best friends for lots of this time) but it was defiantly hard. We then started going on our little spoons dates and I loved these.
(I'm going to put this in brief terms because I don't know how much she wants this out there) but Soph had been going through some health problems, this landed her in hospital for a long period of 2016 and 2017. Obviously this was scary, but Soph pulled through/is still pulling through and our friendship is the strongest it has ever been. I love this girl, she has a piece of me and we will never not be friends. I go to her with any problem and she will give me the best responses, I like to this I do this for her aswell. The picture is last picture we took together before we got put on lockdown.
Other friendships
Alice- (This is just my friendships and not Sophie's- although I imagine they are the same😂) I have a lot of love for Alice, our friendship continued right to the end of school and into 6th form. We no longer speak- but life just took us on different paths. There was no argument or falling out. If she was to ring me right now, I would be there. She has also started a beautiful family and her baby boy is GORGEOUS.
Liv- Mine and Livs friendship is solid, I will never be without this girl. She is a rock, the strongest person and is also the queen of getting herself in sticky situations with the love department. She will always hype me up to be a hoe and sometimes you need this- I will also do the same for her☺️ She's single and living her best life traveling round the country and partying with her best friend that she met online.
Jade- honestly Jade works to hard. She's in her second year of uni, she took a gap year and travel to a country that I can't remember and helped teach. She's actually had a horrible time with boys, but I won't go into that. She'll give the best advice and we sit on FaceTime for hours talking about rubbish. We don't get to see each other that much as she goes to uni in Wales and we live in Lincolnshire but I love her the same.
Mine, Soph, Liv and Jades group friendship is solid, our group chat is always popping with boy drama and general chit chat. Honesty if you need any tea- the 'Baes 2.0' group chat is the place to be.
