Phantasy star : Borderless

Prologue

A nomadic life,

We live in an era where we were forced to migrate from planet to planet, after being driven out from our homeland into space by a giant, abyssal creature known as "Eternal Darkness". This otherworldly monster had swallowed our entire planet whole.

With our home lost, our only sanctuary left was a giant mothership we're currently living in, building a colony from sketch with the last of our kind. Struggling to live and see the day, until our resources started to dwindle.

Lacking of energy resources and food supplies, we were slowly driven to our wits end and into our inevitable extinction. People were plagued by illness and starvation and eventually, our mothership lost its core power.

"We're doomed..."

That was the first thing we thought of in our mind at that moment, except for one person.

She, who denied this cruel fate and refused to accept the supposed outcome of her life made her go through a drastic change.That fateful moment when her body started to glow brightly with an aura of warmth, so real that heated up our cold and starving bodies. This in turn started a chain reaction which caused people around him to evolve as well, including me.

That was the first time we understood about the existence of "Photon".

Photon is a unique energy that resides within every living thing and a very convenient type of energy as it can be converted into many forms of energy such as heat, electricity and many others. Another functionality of Photon also can be used to strengthen the body of the user.

With the power and existence of Photon, we could now produce modified weapon that runs on Photon.

In the short span of time after the discovery of Photon, our colony has now transcended into a highly technological civilisation. And thus, we were able to regain our peaceful lives.

That was, until we met again with our greatest foe.

Upon arriving on a large and fertile planet during an expedition named "Anterius", we encountered the "Eternal Darkness" once more.

This encounter soon sparked a great war, dubbed "The Great War in Anterius" which were recorded into our history books. During the battle of the Great War, it lasted an estimated period of 5 years before the war ended with the defeat of the "Eternal Darkness".

With the countless casualties and warriors that fought and lost their lives in the war, their spirits and determination that strived them to win the war still resides within our beating hearts and mind.

In amidst the war, there once stood an outstanding hero who fought for our glory and victory. She was the same woman who first awoke the Photon within her and eventually caused a butterfly effect. She, who stood atop still standing strong whilst one warrior after another lost their will and guts to stand and oppose the darkness itself.

Our saviour and hero, who saved us not once but twice from a catastrophic tragedy.

We called her, "The Guardian".

The hero who shone the most in the battlefield and drove the darkness back into its den forever.

At least, that was what we thought until...
