SCENE: Storybrooke. Past. It is October 2011. On the outside school grounds, Henry looks at a family tree assignment he was supposed to complete. It is not filled in. He tucks it into a folder and slides it under his open lunch box. His teacher Mary Margaret walks up to him. She asks him about his homework and asks If he was ok.

"Henry. Things really will change if you just believe it. Life is unpredictable." Henry is convinced that he doesn't belong in Storybrooke. " You do belong here, Henry. You are loved. I wanna show you something." She reaches for something in her bag; it's a book, "This morning, I was cleaning out my bedroom closet. Like I've done every week, thousands of times, and do you know what happened? I found something. Something I've never noticed before." She pulls out a large book, entitled in golden letters as Once Upon a Time, and places it down in front of Henry. "It was just there. Like magic. This book somehow arrived. Was it given to me? Did I forget about it? I don't know, but there it was. And do you know what I saw when I looked inside? Hope. Henry glances at the book he opened and says it looks like fairytales to him. His teacher speaks up again, "And what exactly do you think fairytales are? They are a reminder that our lives will get better if we just hold onto hope. Your happy ending may not be what you expect, but that is what will make it so special. I want you to have the book. Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a powerful thing." She gets up from the table and pats him on the shoulder. "I'll see you in class. Henry flips to another page of a princess and her prince, "Ms. Blanchard. "He looks up and is stunned to see her dressed as the same princess in the book. Snow White. He thanks her and she continues to walk away. Henry flips to a page of a princess and prince with an infant child, Emma."

SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. Belle, David, Hook, Emma, Mary Margaret and Neal all approach the clock tower building as Henry, now back in his original body, runs out from the library. He rushes to hug both Emma and Regina. Regina is handed the scroll from Henry. When she gives it to Regina, a burst of purple light comes from the scroll and she passes out onto the ground. SCENE: Neverland. Past. Rufio and Ardith spy on Pan. He is a lot different than the nice boy they knew. Lost boys had been disappearing thanks to pirates coming to the island. Pan was going to meet them and negotiate a truck but Rufio, Ardith, Pockets, Ace, and Small weren't allowed to come. Ardith was still the youngest out of these boy's and Rufio the second oldest.

"There he is." Rufio pointed out. Pan seemed awfully angry. The pirate's came forth but they did not look threatening. One of them introduced himself and his right hand man. Their names were Cpt. Liam Jones and William Smee. Pan took out a sword and stabbed one of the crew members. A fight insued. Unable to stay still, Ardith ran forward to join the fight and soon the others followed. The Captain's crew manage to keep the boys occupied as The captain and Smee took off back towards the ship. Though an arrow still grazed the captain. Soon some of the crew got away but a lot still died. Pan was very upset at Ardith and the the others. He stepped a bit of ways back and shot one arrow into the heart of Small, the twins that were with him, Pockets, and Ace. Ardith and Rufio tried to stop them and Ardith was more desperate with tears threatening to fall. Pan lightly threw the bow to the side and stabbed Rufio ruthlessly in- between Rufio's stomach and chest. Rufio fell to the floor. Ardith screamed and fell to his knees at Rufio's side sobbing. "Run. Brother." Rufio said using the last of his strength to lightly push Ardith's leg.

SCENE: Storybrooke. Present. The pawnshop. Pan reaches consciousness in his own body as Mr. Gold stands watch nearby. He notices the bracelet on his wrist.

"Oh, wait. I see. You've taken away my magic. That's why it's so easy for you to strut around and pose now, isn't it? Of course. You want me to look at you. To look at my son here at the end and really see him and think about what might've been. Is that what you want? Because I do. I remember looking at you... the littlest babe. Helpless and all mine. Those big, big eyes full of tears... pulling at me... pulling away my name, my money, my time. How old are you now? A couple hundred? Can't I be free of you?" Pan asked. Gold said he would be when he dies. "One last lesson then son. Never make a cage you can't get out of." Pan rips off the bracelet from his own wrist. "I made this cuff, you know. Doesn't work on me. But on you...'" He materializes it on Gold's arm. "It's too late. Soon, that fine green smoke will fill their lungs and fog their brains. Not like the rest of this town. I'm not just going to take their memories. No. Because of their special meaning to you, I'm going to take their lives. And you won't do a thing to stop me. Do you know why? Because without magic, you are right back to where you started. The village coward." Pan leaves the shop. In fear, Gold attempts to pull off the cuff, to no avail.
