Sarina arched an eyebrow. "Us? There is no us."

"Unfortunately for you, there is. Now we can't divorce. So we may as well work this out." Mason pointed from himself to Sarina.

Sarina mimicked his actions. "I don't want to work this out."

The words felt like they slapped Mason in the face. Taking a breath to recollect himself, Mason tried again. "What's the point of us being married and unhappy, when we can at lest work out something, like a friendship for starters."

"I don't want a friendship, with you." Sarina pouted as she crossed her arms and legs.

"I wasn't asking for your permission." Mason hissed at her. Sarina ignored the tone as she thought over what Mason said.

"You said, unfortunately for me. What do you mean unfortunate for me?" Sarina looked at Mason as the puzzle pieces clicked together. "Oh, no. No."

Mason grinned as he looked her over.

"No. It's not just unfortunate for me. For you as well. I don't want this."

"You don't have much of a choice here. Just like me."

Sarina stood up and fixed up her bag. "I have plenty of choices. I can be nice, I can be mean, I can be obedient, I can be silent, I can be loud. Look at those choices."

"Sarina, please." Mason took her arm, but Sarina snapped it out off his grip.

"You don't get to beg. You don't have the ball in your court. I do. Now I'm going home." Sarina walked to the door.

"What about your lunch?"

"Give it to the blonde that eyed me off next door." Sarina called over her shoulder as she shut the door.

Sarina went to the car. Phil started it up and pulled in to the traffic to head home. Sarina pulled her phone out to text Mike.

Phil pulled up to the house. "Phil, I have a friend coming over later, Michael Phillips."

"Yes, ma'am."

After getting out off the car and going inside, Sarina requested a light platter of sandwiches and a fresh pot of tea. She hung around the foyer, waiting for the bell to ring. After thirty minutes, she heard the chimes and ran to the door, beating a maid to it.

"Mike." Sarina smiled as she invited him in. "I'm sorry to be an inconvenience, I just needed to talk."

A maid holding a tray of food and their tea followed them to the formal sitting room at the back of the house.

"Nice house." Mike complimented as he sat on a recliner.

"Thank you."

"What do you want to talk about?"

Sarina waited till the maid left and closed all the doors before going to the couch. Her initial plan on making Mason jealous had fallen to bits since Mike was now leaving, but she still enjoyed her time with Mike. "My husband."

Mason was annoyed after Sarina left. He is trying his hardest and she is stopping him at every turn.

His mind has been in overload ever since Sarina disappeared the other day and had got someone on speed dial now as well as getting her phone chipped, just so he knows where she is at all times.

But ever since his mother's birthday, Mason didn't like the way Sarina acted in front of some of the guests. Especially Michael Phillips.

He had been keeping an eye on her and noticed she was constantly going to the same spot nearly every day. Except for today. Today's outing was somewhere different.
