The days flew by. Mason shortened his work days and spent a lot of time in Sarina's room. Sarina on the other hand just laid in bed and whenever she had to talk, it was five word sentences or one word answers.
She missed Mike, their conversations. But she didn't want to disturb him, especially with what she did to herself.
Her bathroom door got fixed and Mason had the lock removed from Sarina's bedroom door, but she never even bothered getting up to close it.
Sarina stretched as she woke up and sat up in her bed. Mason was asleep next to her as she looked at him.
His strong nose and jaw were a dominate gene and his lips made a pout every now and then.
He stuck by her, through every bad decision she made, every hurtful word she said. He stayed by her side when she was sad or upset and even now, when she is depressed.
Mason didn't force her to eat too much but she made an attempt to eat something at lest once a day.
Sarina turned her vision to the window and saw the dark clouds threatening to rain as she slid back down in to her bed.
Mason slowly shook her shoulder as Sarina opened her eyes.
"Sarina?"
"Mmm?"
"Time to wake up." Mason spoke softly. "There's a cup of tea here for you."
"Okay." Sarina grumbled as she rolled over, covering her head with her blanket.
Mason pulled the blanket off her. "Get up."
Groaning, Sarina sat up. She rubbed her eyes as she looked around the room. It was still so dark and she could hear the rain outside.
"Drink your tea and get dressed. When you've finished that, meet me downstairs."
"I don't want to go out." Sarina said as she gripped her tea.
"We aren't going out. But I need you down stairs." Mason said over his shoulder, leaving the bedroom.
Sarina finished her tea and climbed out off her bed. She showered and freshened herself up before slipping on some jeans and shirt, then throwing on a cardigan.
Sarina slipped on some socks as the bathroom felt cold and took her empty cup to the kitchen. Upon looking for Mason in an exhausted attempt of actual looking, Sarina found him in the formal sitting room with another man.
At noticing her, Mason stood up and walked over to Sarina, slipping an arm around her shoulders and edging Sarina forward.
"Sarina. This is Dr Young." Mason introduced them as he told Sarina to sit. "I'll leave you both now." Mason left the room, closing the door behind him.
"Hello Sarina." Came his soft voice.
"Hi."
Dr Young chuckled at Sarina's uncertainty. "I understand you haven't been feeling at your best lately."
Sarina stared at the man. She didn't know him from a bar of soap. Again, this made the doctor laugh.
"Let me give you a proper introduction. Tea?"
Sarina watched as the doctor poured himself some of the hot liquid before nodding. After receiving her drink, Dr Young continued. "I'm Dr Young, but you can call me Robert. I'm a psychiatrist and your husband has called me here because he is highly concerned about you."
Immediately Sarina felt rage. "I'm not crazy." She shook her head as she stood.
"I never said you were. I'm here because I was told you need someone to talk to and your husband thought that I would be better for the job of you unleashing some of your burdens."
