erika pov:
i look up a see jake, he pulls me into his chest as i start to sob.
jake: hey, hey i'm here for you and i promise to not let anything bad happen to you as long as i'm here, okay?
he says stroking my hair, i nodded in agreement.
kade: yeah we won't let that bitch hurt you! over my dead body!
kade walks over and joins the hug
chance: i mean i scared of what you'll do to me if i don't help beat his ass, so i'm in!
everyone let's out a little laugh.
anthony: hey what's another set of hand to help beat is sorry ass?!
at this point we were all in a group hug but my arms were only around jake. i don't know but something about him makes me feel protected when i'm with him even though he can be a a fucking jerk.
alex: hate to kill the moment but this hug never happened
sunny: ohh yess it did!
alex: WHAT!!
sunny held up her phone to show us a picture she took of us hi the group hug

chance: well i'm heading inside to get food anyone else?

they headed inside leaving jake and i just standing there. i had my face buried in his chest, with his chin on my head
erika: jake....i'm scared (looked up at him and a tear rolled down my cheek)
he place his hand on my cheek and wiped the tear away
jake: hey don't be...i'm here everything is going to be okay
erika: i don't know.....i don't know what he going to do never mind what he's going to do when he finds out i've been talking to boys...
jake: what do you mean?
erika: when i wanted to break up with him my best friend was a guy and he beat the shit out of him, putting him in a coma, spending him to the hospital.
jake: erika, look at me

jake: i promise you nothing bad is going to happen to our friends or even you!
erika: what about you..?
jake: well that depends on what road jason wants to take than that depends on whether or not my fists/knuckles are gonna be broken? *shrugging*
i couldn't help but laugh
jake: see i can make you smile
erika: i guess so! come on let's go inside i turned to walk towards the house when i heard jake say something under his breath " costell what are you going to me, i think you make me go soft?" i just similes and walked into the house. we all kind of just sat around singing to karaoke, laughing having a good time, overall we got to know each other better than before.
jake: boys should we head back to tony's?
they looked around at each other
sunny: erika can they stay plzzzz!!!
as she pulls into the dining room to talk to me and the other girls.
mack: yeah can they
erika: i don't know?
alex: i mean i don't care
mack: NOT HELPING ALEX!!
sunny: erika plzzz we will clean up!!?
alex: i never agreed to this just an fyi!
erika: fine *rolls eyes*

we walked back into the living room quietly to see what the boys were talking about
chance: jake plz i'll buy you post-mates for a week!
jake: two weeks and we have something but it's up to erika
the girls walked in causing the boys to turn around
erika: well if the bad boy over there*pointing jake* doesn't have any important plans than you guys can stay over—
kade: i sense a but coming
erika: but, y'all can screw around by that i mean no pranks got it
boys: yup!
chance: dope but we gotta get our stuff
anthony: chance and i will get the stuff

chanthony: welcome!
once they got back we all got changed into our pjs. i changed into my white soccer shorts with my navy blue basketball piney tank top.
chance: took you long enough
erika: watch it chance or you might not be the same when you wake up!!*squinting eyes*
kade: let's watch a movie
everyone: i'm down
erika: i'll get drinks
jake: i'll help
erika: what do y'all want?
everyone: water
erika: coming right up
jake and i walked into the kitchen
erika: so the bad boy after all does have a helping side *smirks*
jake: don't get used to it
erika: oh i'm sure..*raising eyebrows* we don't want big bad going soft no do we? *smiled*
i handed him waters to hold as i pulled them out of the fridge.
jake: you know your not like most girls, love
erika: is that a good thing or a bad thing?
jake: depends*smirks*
erika: oh yeah
i bit my lip and took waters from jake than brought them into the living room where everyone was.
sunny: quick it's starting!!
jake and i looked at each other confused on where to sit, until we found a spot on the far side of the living room on the couch besides sunny and anthony. when we sat down we threw the waters to everyone and started watching.

it was almost over when everyone was starting to fall asleep or already had been asleep. i readjust my self facin jake to see he's still up.
jake: tried?*whispered*
i nodded, not long after i began to shiver a little bit and i'm guessing jake knew, he pulled me close to his chest pulling the blankets over us wrapping his arms around me.
jake: better?
i nodded and cuddled closer to him feeling the warmth coming off his body
jake: night love*whispers in my ear*
i put my arm around him and burry my face into his blue hoodie drifting off to sleep to the smell of his cologne.

TWO MONTHS LATER
erika pov:
well it's been two months since that day when jake comforted me but ever since that day he's gone back to being his normal jerk self.

AT SCHOOL
i was talking to sunny,mack and alex in homeroom until the intercom came on
it: good morning students at ohio high!! i'm excited to say that in 4 weeks is our school winter ball, don't forget to get your tickets and vote for your ice queen and king!! have a great day
sunny:OMG!!!
mack: we have to go dress shopping asap
alex: i'm down
erika: count me in!!

throughout the whole day all the girls were talking about the winter ball coming up.

LUNCH

we were sitting down eating and talking about our dresses when tessa came over.
tessa: um.. erika?
i saw the boys start coming over
erika: yes tessa?
tessa: i'm sor—
just than the lunch room doors flew open
??:WHERES ERIKA COSTELL??
everyone in the lunch room pointed at me expect for anthony,chance,kade jake, mack, alex, sunny and tessa. my heart sank when i heard the voice that i thought i would never hear again.
erika: j—jason?!?
jason: well aren't i glad to see you again
he grabs my waist and pulls me towards him
erika: hey the fuck off of me!!!
jason: why would i do that?*smirks*
jake: because your going to regret it if you don't listen to her!!
i saw jake getting pissed through is eyes ,that and his fist was clenched
jason: and you are?
jake: the one who's gonna beat your ass if you don't let her go!

i tried to get out of his grip but he wouldn't let me go
erika: jason let me go
jason: not a chance! after what you put me through
at this point i tried kicking him but didn't work then before i knew it i was in anthony's arms
anthony: you okay e?
erika: eh... how?
i turn my head to see jason on the floor groaning and hold his face with jake standing over him
jake: i told you to listen to her! don't test me again
i could see he was livid right now, he turned around and walked over to me and tony who were sitting on the floor.
jake: are you okay?
i looked up at him as he was kneeling down than i through my arms around his waist
erika:th—thanks j—jake *muffled*
jake: i told you i wasn't going to let anything happen to you

END OF SCHOOL
erika pov:
the girls and i were sitting at a table talking.
mack: so i'm sorry jason is here
i looked down
sunny: hey look on the bright side jake has your back
alex: yeah i mean i don't like him cuz he's a jerk but this side of him is something i've never seen before, even through all the girls in the school he's never had this like "protective" side over any girl
mack: who knew bad boy jake paul could be protective
girls gasp and i turn around to see jake
jake: well this bad boy isn't that bad after all i guess *shruggs*
then i heard him say under is breath
jake: especially when he cares bout that person
alex: well your still a jerk—
jake: HEY!
alex: let me finish damit!
jake: okay okay
alex: well your still a jerk but a jerk i'm willing to get to know better that is if your not going to be a jerk to us?
jake: we will see about that *throws a grape at her forehead*
alex: you bitch! i regret trying to make peace!!
everyone: *laughs*
kade: hey girls what are y'all doing tomorrow??
mack: we are going to that carnival in town!
alex,sunny,erika: we are?!?!
mack: yeah *giving us the play alon look*
kade: ohh cool see y'all there than?
mack: definitely!!
the boys walked away and we started mocking mack and her convo with kade. after a couple laughs we headed home.
