5. The perv walking on a stick

Later on we all decided to go and walk near the beach. it was close to the park and only in walking distance. when we got there of course Mali decided to just take off her shirt and short- shorts so that she was only in her bra and underwear. Dylan had no complaints to that.

"Come on Lacey, why don't you take your clothes off to go swimming with us." Dylan wiggle his eyebrows. I pushed him playfully. this guy was a perv walking on a stick!

"No thank you. I would prefer if I wasn't naked going swimming." I was wearing a dress so I had put some shorts underneath just in case my dress flew up. or if some pervert was looking underneath my dress.

I still didn't feel comfortable getting undressed in public. Call me a prude, but I wasn't comfortable.

All of a sudden Dylan picked me up and charged for the ocean.

"What the fudge are you doing!?! put me down this instant!" I banged on his back. The blood was starting to rush down my head and I was started to feel light headed.

"Put. me. down!" I said with more force than before.

"Alright!" he then dropped me into the ocean. Cold water was now all around me. I swam back up to shore and glared at Dylan.

"What the flip Dylan! I'm freezing and now my dress is soaking!" I shouted.

"Well you did say you didn't want to undress so I just threw you in with your clothes on." he smirked. ugh! he is so annoying. I looked over to see Mali standing not looking amused at all. I flinched and swam back to the sand.

"Awwww, don't swim away from me now! come on short-fry I didn't mean to make you mad! I was just playing around!" he shouted after me. he swam towards me and grabbed me by the waist.

"Forgive me?" he gave me the puppy dog eyes. I signed, what was this guy trying to do? give me heart failure? he look so ador- nope! he looked like he was constipated, yep! not ador-

Never mind.

"Fine! whatever! jut let me go so I can dry off. aren't you suppose to be with your girlfriend?" I asked confused. Mali looked like an ape in its natural habitat. If he didn't go over to give her attention I was sure she was going to drown me.

"Mali can wait it's not like it's the end of the world if I have fun." he said winking at me.

"So you don't have fun with Mali?"

"Yeah I do, but it's refreshing to be away from her constant whining." I laughed. then we started to mock her,

"Dylan can you give me a massage!" I squeaked out.

"Dylan do my laundry because I don't have a maid and your my boyfriend!" Dylan said in a girly voice. I giggled, wait! why was I giggling? that is so embarrassing! I'm starting to sound like Mali herself!

"Dylan come over here and spend some time with me!" Mali squeak. Dylan and I cracked up laughing all over again.

"You should go attend to her needs." I say smiling a little. Dylan swims away, but not before giving me one of his famous signature winks.

I swam up to the sand and laid down on my back. this was so relaxing just laying here on the sand hearing the ocean sweep up and claim the sand.

I saw Nick walk up to me and sit down. we didn't talk for a couple of minutes we just listened to the ocean.

"How are you doing?" he asked. my face showed shock and confusion.

"I'm fine how are you?" I asked.

"Swell. just didn't want to be with the lovey dovey couple is all." he signed. I could tell he had something else on his mind.

"What's wrong?" I asked leaning on his shoulder.

"Me and katyln are drifting apart and I don't think we'll work out. I mean I want us to be okay, but all she does is just bash you. she won't even come over to our house anymore!" he shook his head in disappointment. I felt bad for him, but if katyln really hated me that much to not date my brother anymore than she was one sucker. she wouldn't know what she had until it was gone.

"Listen and you listen good cause I'm not going to say this twice! katyln is a thot! and she doesn't deserve you! your too good for her and if she doesn't want to date you because she has a grudge over me for whatever reason, then find someone else who is worth your heart!" I breathed out heavily. Wow that was a lot too say with little oxygen!

Nick turned his head to look at me and he sniffed, wait is he crying?

"That was beautiful, thank you for that. Your right, she doesn't deserve someone like me. if she can't except you than she won't get any of this." he gestured to his six pack. I chuckled,

"Right. well let's go catch up with them." the sun was going down and I wanted to get back home before the raccoons came out. We eventually caught up with them and we all walked to the car to go back home.

Today wasn't what I expected but I had lots of fun surprisingly. I would have never expected to have fun with Dylan of all people!

Later on Dylan went home (finally ! ) and Nick, Mali, and I were home alone. Mali was on the phone with her friend and Nick was on the xbox 360 talking with someone on the headphones.

I was currently finishing Fangirl by Rainbow Rowelle. I usually could finish a book in two days depending on how long it was. I was reading the last page of the book when my phone rang. dang flabbit!!! why is it that every time I'm reading the last page of a book I get interrupted?

"Lace! come over quick it's Sophie! it's a major firestorm!!!" Megan was huffing out. I was immediately alarmed.

"What is it? what's wrong?" I asked. I heard Sophie yell out in pain.

"Were at Edwards hospital Sophie injured her ankle. Come quick!!!" I heard crying in the back ground. I immediately hung up and grabbed my car keys. I knew it was 10:34 at night, but this was a firestorm and I needed to be there for Sophie.

I rushed downstairs,

"Hey where do you think your going?" Nick was sitting on the couch watching the biggest loser.

"Sophie is hurt. she apparently injured her ankle and I need to go see if she's going to be alright." I say frantic. I was worried for her, it really sounded like she was dying over the phone. Nick got up and put shoes on.

"What are you doing?" I was already about to leave,

"I'm driving you there. Before you know it your going to be a blubbering mess and you won't be able to see where your going." Nick stated. he was right I was probably going to cry a river all the way there, I was such a baby. On to the hospital, here we come.
