1958 - Prince was born in Mount Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. (let's take a minute awww)
1978 - Prince's first single "Soft and Wet" was released on Prince's 20th birthday.
1986 - Prince's birthday show was filmed in Detroit.
1991 - Prince's single "Gett Off" was released for radio play.
1993 - Prince, on his 35th birthday, changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol (). The media began referring to him as The Artist Formerly Known As Prince (TAFKAP).
2000 - The "Prince: A Celebration" party began at Paisley Park Studios. The weeklong event was in celebration of The Artist reclaiming his name "Prince" after a 7-year battle with Warner Brothers.
2010 - Prince released the song "Hot Summer" on the Minneapolis radio station 89.3.
