"Y/N can you please come here" My mom called me. Me, Scott, Justin, Zach and Jessica are at my house, hanging out. we're all basically best friends since we were kids. We met because our parents are business partners and whenever they have meetings we just bonded and somehow became best friends. However, there is someone that someone is Scott Reed. I have liked him since Sophomore year. Maybe he just glowed up and here I am head over heels about him.
Like whenever he's around me (which is like everyday) I always try and impress him, I don't if it worked but I know it kinda did.
Right now We're watching Grease so they needed to pause the film as I walked over to my Mom and Dad's room.
"What do you need?" I asked them. Mom appeared from her gigantic closet walking towards me.
"Baby, I know you probably won't agree but can we talk about an arrange marriage-" My mom was about to say something but I cut her off.
"An arrange marriage with who?" I asked them, furrowing my eyebrows. This is what i've been fearing most, my mom and dad owns a billion dollar company. So there were times that they would set me up with some of their Business partner's unattractive son with me. I always tend to say no but sometimes they would actually force me to my consent.
"Bryce Walker" She said, my mouth is agape. Bryce Walker? the rapist Bryce Walker? I scoffed.
"You're not making me do this again, can we atleast negotiate? tell them I have a boyfriend or something?" I asked her.
"No Y/N-" Mom was about to say something but Dad gladly slid in the conversation.
"Yes she can, honey don't force your daughter to get married with someone she doesn't love, now do you have someone in mind to be your um boyfriend?" My dad asked, I smiled at him and hugged him.
"I'll ask my friends, I tell you soon" I said.
"Alright Y/N you can go now" My dad said.
"Thank you dad" I said then hugged him.
"How about you ask you friend Scott?" Mom asked, I felt a blush creeping on my cheek.
"Yeah, I like that kid" My dad said, and I like him too. I smiled at them
"Alright, consider it done" I said marching away from their room and came back to the living room
"Hey i'm back" I said sitting back next to Scott, which made my heart flutter.
"What did your parents talked about?" Jessica asked, Eating some Doritos with Justin.
"They uh told me something about some Arrange Marriage" I told them, they had shocked faces.
"Wait what?" Jess said, mouth agape
"with who?" Justin asked shutting Jess' mouth.
"Bryce" I said.
"What the fuck?"
"Wait seriously?"
"What?"
"The hell?"
They all said at the same time.
"I know crazy right? but my dad saved the day and I didn't have to marry Bryce. I can just have someone to go out with me actually mom suggested someone but I think-"
"What Y/N wants to say is that she wants Scott to be her boyfriend...oh and Scott we would be delighted if you agreed with Y/N's negotiation" Dad said, my mouth was agape.
