"Hey girls! Welcome!" Joy bustled them all in through the dark oak door, past the oil paintings hanging on the corridor walls and sat the four young girls onto cream-coloured couches.
"Hey girls, do you want something to drink?"
"I'll have a milkshake. How about you Mary?"
"I'll have a hot chocolate. And Tabitha will have..."
"A milkshake. Same as Lolly."
"Alright. Two of my finest strawberry milkshakes and one of my special cinnamon hot chocolates. Is that all?"
"Biscuits. We need lots and lots of biscuits." Tabitha demanded, "Nothing is complete without a biscuit." Joy hurried out of the room, past the long dining table and the grand piano, trying to remember all the orders. What was it? Oh yes. Three cinnamon biscuit milkshakes and lots of chocolate. She might as well have on as everyone else was having one.
As Joy splashed the cinnamon biscuits into the blender full of milk and syrup, she heard a slight tinkle, the kind she heard when she walked into the little cafe where and the girls hung out in in the High-street. She thought about the odd sounding splash it had made, but was distracted when she heard Tabitha shout, "Where'd the milkshakes go? Hurry up Joy!" She rushed out of the kitchen with a tray and the drinks but then  remembered the mountain of chocolate Tabitha had ordered. She hurried back to the kitchen; opened the cupboard and took out the great bar of chocolate her parents thought she didn't know about. Then, as Joy was taking the plate of chocolate and the four drinks on a tray to the living room, Mary caught sight of the pile of chocolate and chuckled."That's what you get if you take too many orders at once."
"What?"
"Oh well, let's have some. These drinks look interesting."
Joy sheepishly set the tray down on the table and everyone else took one.
"Cheers!"
The sound of clinking glasses filled the room. Then, when all four girls raised the glasses to their lips something extraordinary happened. A burst of shimmering golden light stunned the children. They were threads of the sun's own light, but of the most magical sort. The threads of sun swirled around the room, multiplying as they moved. They lit up the whole room and the girls could only see each other's faces. Lolly tried to cry out but she couldn't hear any thing over the deafening gale of wind. It was swirling and twirling, forcing them together. They all looked at each other fearfully. The lights we're growing brighter. The sound louder and louder. Then, the world plunged into darkness.
