"Hi." A six-year-old me turns around and come face to face with a girl about my age. She has brown hair and brown eyes and is wearing a pink princess dress.

"Hi." I give her a shy smile.

"Do you want to come play with us?" She points behind her at two boys standing in the driveway next door. One has dark hair just like her, the other red. I look at my mom who's planting flowers in front of our new house; she's already looking at me.

"Leave Wonder Woman here and stay where I can see you." I set my barbie on the porch and follow the girl to her yard next door.

"I'm Emery." The girl introduces herself while we walk to the boys.

"I'm Violet; it's nice to meet you." I introduce myself the way Daddy taught me.

Both boys are staring at me as we walk up to them. The blonde one smiles at me while the dark haired one just stares. His face is blank like he's studying me, but when I smile at him, he smiles back.

"Hi," He steps forward. "My name's Elias."

"He's my twin." Emery tells me. "And this is our cousin Dustin." Dustin smiles and shows his missing front tooth. "Guys, this is Violet."

"Well, Violet," Elias smiles. "Are you ready to play cops and robbers?"

"No!" Emery shouts. "We always play cops and robbers." She whines. "We have another girl now, let's play wedding!"

Both boys groan. "How about we play wedding then cops and robbers?" I suggest.

"Good idea." Dustin nods.

"I'll be the groom." Elias says. "And Violet can be the bride."

"I'll go get you one of my princess dresses." Emery turns to her cousin. "Dustin you go pick some flowers, but not Mom's roses. Last time we used Mom's flowers we got in trouble." She explains to me then runs off.

"Elias, how old are you and Emery?" I ask, breaking the silence we've fallen into.

"Eli." He responds.

"What?"

"All my friends call me Eli." He explains. "You can too."

"Oh, okay."

"And we just turned seven." Emery suddenly comes running out of her house with some light blue material.

"Here, put this on over your clothes."

Ten minutes later I'm walking up her driveway with dandelions in my hand and the dress on over my shorts and shirt.

"Do you uh... What's your last name?" Dustin whispers to me.

"West." I whisper back.

"Do you Violet West take Eli to be your husband forever?"

"Yes."

"I do." Emery whispers. "You have to say 'I do.'"

"Oh, I do."

"And do you Elias Cooper agree to marry Violet forever?"

"I do." Eli gives me a crooked grin.

"You may kiss the bride." Eli leans forward, and I freeze. He's not really going to kiss me, right? Only mommies and daddies do that. Eli's wet lips press against my cheek, and Emery screams.

"Yay!"

"Cops and robbers now!" Dustin yells and runs off.

"I'll go tell Dustin you're on my team since we're married now." Eli says, then follows his cousin.

"You're my best friend now!" Emery smiles causing me to frown.

"I already has a best friend." I tell her thinking about Hudson. "He had to stay in Florida."

"Well," She thinks for a minute. "I could be your Minnesota best friend?"

"Okay!" I nod showing my enthusiasm towards having two best friends.

"Just don't fall in love with my brother." She says seriously. "My best friend and brother can't get married in real life."
