*Aangs pov*
Learning that I was the avatar was bad. But having all my friends leave me out of games because of it was worse. At least I still have Amalia. My life long best friend and crush. I was walking around outside the temple when I heard the elder munks talking.
" aang should grow to have a normal childhood!" Giatso said in fury
" no he is the avatar, he will be sent to the eastern air temple for training"
After hearing that I was broken. I would have to leave giatso (giatso is his father like figure or older best friend) and I would have to leave Amalia! I couldn't do that. I..... I need to get away from here. NOW. So I ran to my room and began to write notes to giatso and Amalia. Soon I was almost sobbing. I didn't want to leave but I had to. I heard quiet footsteps and my door burst open.
" aang" I heard her whisper
I knew that voice anywhere, I quickly turned around and faced to intruder. It was Amalia. Crap.
The only this I could manage to say was. "Amalia I'm so sorry"
" for what" she again whispered
"I'm leaving" I said on the verge of tears
After I said that I saw her eyes water. I could look into her eyes and see her world in flames( how ironic)
"Why" she said louder this time
"I'm the avatar, I can't handle it. Everyone will treat me different." I said almost yelling at the end. She nodded showing that she understood.
" when are you leaving"?
"......." I couldn't answer without breaking out crying
"Aang" she said this time more fearsomely
" I'm leaving now" I said knowing that a few tears were escaping.
"......" she said nothing and I knew that she hated me. I gave her no heads up. So in my shame I grabbed my glider and was about to fly away, when I felt her grab my hand. *probably to yell at me* I thought
When I turned around to question her I felt a pair of warm lips on my own. Amalia was kissing me!!!! At first I was too shocked to kiss back but I soon quickly kissed back with just and much passion. I could feel the tears on her face.We stayed that way for a few minutes just taking each other in. Then I remembered that i had to leave before she convinced me to stay. So I suddenly pulled away from he kiss leaving her confused and in a daze. I quickly pushed the golden owl necklace I made her into her hand and flew off into the night, not knowing that I would not see her for a very long time.
