Amalia's POV
~flashback~
After aang left I became depressed and almost never came out of my room. The only times I really did was for training. I had discovered on my own that I too could bend the other elements. All of them except fire which I was fine with. I'm guessing that I can only do this because of my connection to aang. I mean I can't think of any other possibilities. About three weeks after aang left the fire an ion attacked the southern air temple. I made it out with 3 degree burns on my arms and hands from trying to protect my face from the flames.
But some flames got past my "defense" so now I have minor burns around both my eyes ( nothing like Zuko, just enough that the burns show) because of my burns I now have a somewhat hard time seeing. So I had to invent a way to see using earthbending ( what toph does) I feel the vibrations in the earth to see things that would be hard for me to see due to my condition. After about 90 years of living on my own I learned that I didn't age no matter what. So I lived my life to the fullest.
~flashback over, present time~
" toph!!! Get your butt back here missy!!" I yelled at my best friend/sister. She had taken the necklace aang had given me and run of somewhere with it. * ok so you must be confused, about 10 years ago they found me in their garden dehydrates and starving. And being the nice people they were they took me in and nurtured me back to health. I told them about my "situation" (that I couldn't age) and they thought I was a gift from the spirit world. They immediately adopted me and I officially vacate a member of the beifong family. Therefor toph..... is my sister, but also my best friend.Oh and just to tell you both toph and I fight at earth rumble 6 because her parents, as much as I love them are over bearing* ( back to present) " toph give me my necklace back!!! We have to leave soon anyway! So I'll tell you one more time. Give. Me. Back. My. Necklace!" I yelled in anger. The ground under us shook with my rage. Me and toph were both surprised with my outburst. Me more than her. I had never been the type to lose my temper. But she knew not to touch my necklace, and she did. So we kinda should have expected this.
*time skip to earth rumble 6 cause I'm lazy as heck*
Toph and I both "watched" as the boulder beat all of the other contestants one by one until it was our turn to go up and "lose. In the ring we were both known as the blind bandits. The champions that had never been beaten. Soon the ref called our name and we walked up hearing the crowd cheer our "name." As soon as we stopped walking, we were ready.
