I wake up to the sound of banging on my door. "Irene get your lazy ass up we have to leave!" I hear Amy, yelling at me from the other side of the door. "Yes ma'am." I say just loud enough so she can hear me. "You have fifteen minutes." She says. I hear her walk away from the door.

I stand up out of bed, and walk to my dresser. I pull out my black Witch hoodie ( Picture Above ) , and my black skinny jeans. I through my clothes on my bed. Good thing we don't have uniforms.

I pull my black Vans out from under my bed. Then I grab a pair of plain black socks. Wow I have such a colorful wardrobe. I say in my head sarcastically.

Tiny time skip

I finish getting dressed. I look at myself in my mirror in the corner of the room. Great I look like a loser. I think to myself. Well the outfit has nothing to do with that. I reply to myself in my head.

I grab my hair brush, and start brushing my tangled dirty black hair. Should i put my hair up? I wonder to my self.

I'm pulled out of my thoughts by a light tap on my door. "Irene?" I voice asks from the other side or the door. I instantly know who it is. "What is it, Gwen?" I ask gently as i open the door.

"Mom wanted me to tell you that you missed your bus. And you're gonna have to walk." She says with sympathy. "Oh crap!" I say annoyed. "Thanks for letting me know Gwen." I say hurrying to the bathroom.

I quickly brush my teeth, run to my room, grab my phone, earbuds and my backpack and hurry downstairs. I see I Issac, Octavia, Gwen and Ethan. Sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast. And just like every other day there's no plate of food for me.

I quickly grab a granola bar from the pantry. "Bye guys. I'll see you after school." I say waving to my younger siblings. "Bye Irene." Gwen says, waving. The rest of them just wave, and continue to stuff their faces with food.

I walk out he front door and shiver as the cold winter air hides me. Don't get me wrong I love the cold, but I don't have a lot of fat, or muscle to keep me warm. I put my earbuds in and listen to Bts. And eat my granola bar as I walk to school.

As I walk to school I see a park, that I've never seen before. I should explore that park later. I think to myself, making a mental note on where the park is. I look at the park and see children playing on the playground, parents watching from picnic tables, people of all ages around the park.

The kids look like they're having so much fun with they're friends or parents. I wonder what it's like to go to a park with your parents or friends. I thought, looking down at the concrete sidewalk, frowning to myself. I keep my head down lost in my thoughts.

When I look up I see a school at the end of the road. I froze. You can't do this. You're gonna fuck it up or get bullied. You don't belong here. You don't belong around normal people. I start to back up slowly.

I can't do this. I just can't. As I back up i bump into something. I jump forward as soon as my back hits it. I let out a small quiet squeak as I fell to the floor. I sit on the floor with my eyes tightly shut waiting for pain to shoot through my body.

But instead I hear a familiar voice. "Hey! Are you ok?" The voice asked with concern. I look up slowly and I see him. The boy from the Target standing over me looking down worried. "Y-Yeah sorry, I-I wasn't l-looking where I w-was g-going." I say. Why do I always stutter? Curse my stutter.

He extends his hand out to me. I look at it and slowly extend my hand to meet his. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to my feet.  "T-Thanks." I say taking my hand back once I'm on my feet again. I look down at my shoes, not knowing what to say. "Hey, I'm up here." He says laughing slightly and leaning down in front of my face. I giggle slightly.

"T-Thanks for helping me u-up." I say stuttering a little less then before. "It's no problem, I was in your way anyway." He says chuckling. I look up at him and see his dark green eyes, staring back at me. "I'm Julian by the way." Julian says smiling and holding out his hand.

"I-I'm Irene." I say, taking his hand in mine shaking it lightly. "You're a freshman right? I haven't seen you at school before." He asked letting go of my hand. "Y-Yeah, I'm n-new here." I say. "Cool I'm a sophomore." He says taking out his phone. "Hey school starts soon, you should really get your schedule and find your locker." He says putting his phone in his back pocket.

"C-Can you help me? I-I do know where t-to go." I say slightly embarrassed. "Sure, I can help you get your schedule, and if you want I can show you around the school." He says smiling at me. "Ok l-let's go." I say smiling up at him.

We walk into the school, him in front of me. I look around but only see nine students. "Where is everybody?" I ask confused, as to why there's almost no one out here. He opens his mouth to answer, but before he can speak the bell goes off.

Ring

I look at him and he looks at me. "Looks like we're gonna be late." He says chuckling lightly. "You should go to class, I don't want to be the reason you're late for class." I say looking down slightly and turning around. He grabs my wrist so I can't walk away, I wince slightly from pain as he grabs my wrist. "I'll be fine, common let's go get your schedule." He starts walking down the hallway, I follow him mainly because he still holding my wrist.
