A small piece of paper hit the back of my head, and I turned around as fast as I could.
''Darnell stop throwing paper at me!'' I yelled while peeling the piece of paper out of my hair which got stuck because of a chewing gum.
''I didn't know miss cowgirl could yell like that!'' He said, laughing.
The best thing I learned from my mom was, make love and not war. I ignored the fact that he was laughing and continued my essay. As I would say it was obviously super easy for me, the writing was the best thing ever, I could live a dream and enjoy the moment. that's why I have a diary, it's gold and the papers are light brown, it reminds me of a chocolate bar, you know that one of the films 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. my diary is filled with all the things I have done and what I have seen, I even once wrote about prince charming.
"Erhmm Ella, can you help me?" A small but nice voice asked.
I had enough of this 'sweet talking'. I turned my whole body 180 degrees as if I was sitting on a desk chair, those with the amazing wheels underneath it. Before looking I said.
"Darnell I had enough of your jokes, be a man and ask the teacher for once in your life!" I said in a mean voice without looking into his eyes.
"Darnell?" He said while scratching the back of his head.
It wasn't Darnell who asked it, it was the prettiest guy and the smartest one of the entire class. Toni Russel. My hands became clammy and my cheeks started heating up.
"S-Sorry, I thought you were Darnell," I said while looking at my shoes and ignoring the fact that Toni Russel talked to me.
I mean me? Ella Hart? Why would he ask me, or is it because everyone thinks I'm a nerd. winning 5 trophies with school math competitions doesn't mean I am super smart, or does it?
"I thought I ask you since there is math exam coming up and I didn't want to fail, you know how important it is and I could use all the help in the world."
"I am not that good at math though."
"Who are you kidding Ella? You won 10 trophies!" Toni said while throwing his hands up in the air.
"It's 5 but, what's the plan?" I said while touching my long hair braids.
"Is it okay if you come by at my place at 5 O'clock?"
"I am not sure if my mom likes the idea of me skipping dinner."
"My mom was cooking for 4 but she can make it for 5 if you like?"
Wait, pause for a moment, did he just say four? as in he is not a lonely child, he never spoke about a brother or sister. Well okay, maybe that's because this is the first time he actually spoke to me. And he wants me to eat dinner, WITH HIS PARENTS?! This guy is nuts.
"I will ask my mom I am not sure though.." I said sighing.
"Or after dinner?" He said while looking into my eyes.
He had this blue ocean eyes someone could drown in it, and with that someone I mean myself.. his dark hair which almost looked like black but it wasn't it was dark brown. You can see it when he walks in the sun, it's almost reflecting because of how shiny and beautiful his hair is. I wonder what kind of conditioner he uses for his hair, Or is that too weird?
"You know what? I will be there just text me the address."
"What did change your mind, without asking your mom?" Toni said while laughing.
