Chapter 17- Water problems

Name's thoughts
Finally, I can walk again. After another week of therapy done. The doctor said I was good to go.Honey told me there's a surprise for me and the gang, I wonder what it is.

You walk, yes walk in the gangs lab when an excited Honey comes up to you and hugs you. One of the famous signature hugs of Honey Lemon.

"Hi Name! It's good to see you walking again", she said while the gang just nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, me too.Looking forward to the surprise you have in store, Honey. What is it?", you ask Honey with sparkles in your eyes.

"Freddie here, is allowing us to go to his pool after classes to relieve stress from homework", she said.

"Yeah!", they said in unison getting pumped for the pool. Yikes, a pool?!

After classes, you go home and get your swim suit. A simple t shirt with some shorts and tennis shoes. You look in the mirror, gulping in fear, hoping that nothing will happen to you while being there.

-----------Skip to Fred's backyard------------

When you arrive, you're greeted by all of them. You greet them and sit in a chair, sketching simple things. And end up drawing your friends in front of you. For a moment, thinking what life right now would be like if you didn't meet Hiro. Hiro, your heart twisted, leaving you confused.

Time went by, and you haven't splashed, or done ANYTHING at the pool. Hiro was the first one to notice.

Hiro's thoughts
Name hasn't gone in the pool. Why? I know what to do! I just got an idea.

With a evil smirk getting out of the pool. Walking towards you, and looking at you in awe. The sketch of the gang and it was very detailed. You were too focused on the drawing to see that I picked her up bridal style, and went near the pool.

"No,no Hiro! I can't swim", she said putting her hands on her face in embarrassment.

Feeling sorry I place down on her chair she was in. "Name, you don't you know how to swim?", I asked her. She shakes her head no.

"Why?", curiosity taking over me.

"Because the time I did swim, my uncle almost died". You confessed, you never told about your Tio Juan to anyone.

----------------- Flashback -------------------------

Here we are, in lake Mi Chi Gana. This is the only weekend when Tio Juan is free from his military duties. Yep, my Tio Juan is a military officer.

And my father and him are twins. And they both love fishing so, we decided to do a picnic here, in peace and quiet of Lake Mi Chi Gana.

And at the time you were two. You three, went to the water splashing in water, while your mother and Alejandra were setting up the picnic.

"N/N, you can swim- interupted by your father with a concerned look but let you anyway.

Your Tio Juan was swimming with dad and you were swimming when all the sudden bang. A gunshot hit your tio Juan in the stomach.

"Since then, I haven't been in a pool. Thinking it will happen again." I thought.

Hiro thinking of a something he could do. "What if I teach you?"

"I don't know. Hiro, I don't-"
Hiro cuts you off by grabbing your hand, "please?"

You had doubts, but you knew that he wouldn't do anything to me. So, I said
"okay then." The real reason I said yes, was because of his look.

His eyes were filled with concern. It was kinda of giving me more and more, feelings towards him. Even though it's impossible, since he's in love with someone else.

The rest of the afternoon, he was teaching me how to swim. By the end, I was able to swim, to the point where I don't drown.

Hiro's thoughts
The team were just doing Smores. But Name was just sitting at the edge of the pool. Having her feet in the pool. Looking down.

Everyone else started to notice as well. They signaled me to go to her and talk. I walk to her and at first she looks down, if like she was ashamed or embarrassed.

"Hey, what are you doing here by youself? You should be with us making Smores."

Then the awkward silence, she didn't answer me. I look back and saw what she did. The Fire. I didn't realize it until now. Stupid, stupid!

"It's the fire isn't?"

She nods. " I can't believe that I can't get over the fact that my sister died. A year ago. The flames soaring above the building. Because of the stupid fire. She ran in and it's like she was eaten by the flames."

Then another awkward silence.

"Thanks Hiro, I know you're trying to cheer me up, thank you."

"You're welcome."

We hug and look up to stars, happy with each others accompany. Then later on, the rest of the gang joined in. Making it one of your favorite days with your friends
