My Brothers Best Friend (On Hold)

The shouts and echo's of people greeting there loved ones fill my ears as I enter the hot and busy welcoming hall of the airport. The floor is covered in grey tiles and dust with the occasional dirt spot. Desperately searching the hall, my eyes set on a tall young man. He has rough brown hair and dull-ish blue eyes that still pop out slightly. He waves in my direction, causing my expression to contort into a frown. Swiftly turning my head I looked behind me to see no one. Looking in his direction again, something snaps. I know him from somewhere I think, knitting my eyebrows together and then it hit me. It was Luke Bryan, one of my brothers best friends. Suddenly Brent my brother that I hadn't seen in a year appear from behind him and his eyes widened, causing mine to also. I loosen my grip on my suitcase and sprint in his direction, he does the same. He catches me and I hug him tightly.

"I missed you so much Brent" I say with a sniff. He pulls away and looks into my eyes, love present in his eyes. All of the emotions from the past year rush through my body and I let it all go. Tears stream down my face and I feel my body start to shake slightly.

"I missed you too Nora" he says, comfortingly rubbing my back. He helps me back to my feet and after giving me a welcoming look, he brushes past me to get my suitcase. As he leaves, two large bodies crash into my own, I squeal, shutting my eyes and before hitting the ground I'm caught. I peek through one eye to see two, can I say, extremely hot guys kneeling over me. They laugh and Luke pokes my nose. The other one, as I can't remember his name, has blonde wavy flatter hair that sticks to his forehead in a way that can't be described. His eyes are also a blue-ish colour, but they were a bit brighter with a bit of green mixed in. It's Cody Pearl, my brothers other best friend. I look between the two, my face flushing red. They chuckle once more and straighten up, helping me up at the same time.

"Hey Nora" Cody said casually extending his fist, I looked at it strangely and he chuckled moving forward. Taking my hand, he forms a fist with it and we box. I giggle and look at the floor embarrassed that I didn't understand his motion. "It's fine Nora, my fault" he says winking, adding another tinge to my cheeks. He laughs and Luke joins him, a wave of satisfaction runs through me. I missed this, the joking around and flirting pointlessly, I need it again after all that stress.

"Hello beautiful Nora" Luke says after a pause and I hear a cough behind me, signalling that my brother was there. I smile to myself, looking to the ground and say hi to both boys. After Brent starts to walk to the car, I frown thinking of my parents and am about to say something when I'm cut off.

"You hungry Nora? You've had a long flight" Luke says smiling, I look him in the eyes and smile nodding. He turns to my brother, "Brent, let's go to Burger King, I'm starving" he says rubbing his stomach. Cody laughs and agrees.

"Yeah I could use some food too, haven't eaten much" Brent says looking back at me, in the meanwhile flashing a smile my way. As we exit the hall, the heat hits me like a wave and the sun beats down on my pale-ish skin. Cars are parked pretty much everywhere ranging from different colours. As I'm wearing sweatpants, my legs start to feel hot, although my bare arms are absorbing the much needed sun. I look towards the three boys and only just notice that they all have perfectly tanned skin. Cody's wearing light blue shorts, with a white tank-top and a longer mens necklace. Then Brent was wearing black swimtrunks and a ginger coloured t-shirt. Lastly, Luke was wearing a blue blouse with rolled up sleeves and white swimtrunks.
