*Prologue*

Many believe that hunters have a deep hatred for all werewolves.

This is simply not the case.

Nearly five centuries ago before the settlement of the new world, there were three packs. Along with these packs there were many tribes of natives.

What brought the hunting tribes and these packs together? Rogues.

The pack wolves didn't like them because they disrupted their daily lives with taunts.

The natives didn't like them because they kidnapped their women and killed their untrained men.

The rouges became uncontrollable, rabid.

So the wolves decided to create a pact with the natives, the pact simply stated that the pack wolves would work along side the natives in controlling the rogues. The only thing the wolves asked for in return is that if any of their pack mates were to find their mate in one of the natives that they would allow the mating.

The natives, desperate for a reprieve from fending off the rogues quickly agreed.

Many mates were united between the wolves and the native hunters, including the Alpha of one pack and the daughter of a native chief. The chief couldn't have been happier that his only child got a mate that would forever protect her.

The girls mother though was the tribes shawman. She unlike everyone else didn't believe they should allow their people to mate with what she considered monsters.

So when the men left to go on a hunting party to celebrate the agreement the shawman walked to where her sleeping daughter lay, and put a curse on her.

A curse that would make any mating between an Alpha and a hunter impossible.

When the daughter awoke she felt within her a strong urge to kill her mate. She was confused and scared when her body moved of it's own accord she tried to scream but no sound came out.

She found herself walking to the tent where her mate was in a deep slumber. She felt the tears cascading down her face as her body of its own accord pulled a knife from behind her back and she watched as she stabbed him repeatedly.

Then as if she was pushed back in she regained her control. She fell to her knees beside her mate, pulling his now limp body to her chest as she wept.

She stayed there for sometime.

Now she had grown angry, she knew without a doubt of only one person who could make someone commit such an atrosity.

She wiped the drying tears from face and layed down her love.

She stood with a new ferocity in her heart. She would make her mother pay. She would take away the one thing her mother truly loved in the world.

She walked out of the tent, passed the now awakening natives and wolves towards the tent of the chief and his wife.

Her father was sitting in his chair her mother draped on her own next to him.

Her father made to stand as he asked her what was wrong as he took in her face.

She never even looked at him as her mother stared at her with concern as if she didn't have an idea of what she had done.

"You took him from me," the girl whispered deathly quiet to her mother.

Fear crossed the face of the woman she had loved so dearly before it was masked with mock confusion.

She.cit her off as she made to speak, "Save your lies. You took him from me, just tell me why?!" she was screaming now, many wolves and villagers made their way to the opening to find out what the commotion was, "Why did you make me do it?! Why?!"

Her mother gave up her acting and put on her cold look, this was who she really was, "I only did what was best for you. I'm protecting you from having to mate with a monster, an abomination."

"You're wrong. I will do what is best for me now," she spoke while pulling out the dagger she had used to kill her mate. She smiled weakly looking at her mother, "I will see him again. You have cursed all those in your bloodlines to death with your ignorance."

The woman screamed out as her only child dug in the blade and ended her life.

The woman was found guilty of treason and was hanged shortly there after.

For the last several centuries it has been the same fate for the poor alphas and hunters whom fate decided to bring together.

Each time they would see each other and the Alpha would either kill himself to save his mate the pain or she would kill him quickly and herself soon after.

Many tried to escape fate and distance themselves from all wolves or vice versa. But we all know you can't escape your destiny, fate does not mind if it's kept waiting, because it will catch you in the end.

Though fate seems to have other ideas in plan when it pairs together a powerful alpha and a rather unorthodox hunter.

An alpha that longs to know of fate's plan for him. He is impatient to know if he is one who is destined to love his mate only in the afterlife. Also to see if his mate is of his preference, or if he will be forced to change teams.

An unorthodox hunter that is frowned upon because he doesn't like hunting. At all. He is so against killing he even hates stepping on ant,but he still manages to finish his missions on time.

Will fate finally be able to break the curse, or will this mating fall privy along with the others throughout time?
