For the first few weeks Ezra and Logan settled into a simple routine.

Ezra would wake up to an empty bed, go down stairs to meet breakfast, and watch Logan in the backyard chasing something different everyday.

They would spend their time between breakfast and lunch with Ezra homeschooling Logan, they would have recess in the backyard which was them simply wrestling around. They would then finish the schooling and have a quick lunch.

The time between lunch and dinner was spent playing games or watching movies. They would have a nice dinner with which they told jokes and made funny faces.

Ezra would give Logan a bath and then lay with him until he fell asleep. Then he would have his own shower and would patrol around the cabin. Later in the night he would climb the stairs to find Logan crying because he had a nightmare, or on good nights he would find him sleeping peacefully. He would then lay disband fall asleep.

On certain days they would need to make a quick stop in town, Logan would latch himself onto Ezra's back, afraid he would see more hunters. Which they did, but Ezra supposed word got around that the pup was his little one to protect so most just watched on in disgust or disappointment. Though there were a few who looked more curious than anything else.

Though he never allowed Logan to see how they looked on at the odd pairing. Though he knew that most thought that Logan was actually his child, he would never bother setting them straight, as far as Ezra was concerned Logan was his child as soon as he saw him alone in the forest.

The human women in the town after seeing them a few times finally got the idea that he was not interested. Though that didn't stop them from giggling or having Aww moments when they saw the boys doing something together.

But Ezra knew that they would have to leave soon and he felt bad that he couldn't give Logan a structured life in one place. He was going to move them to a more remote cabin. It was in an area that only a few packs still inhabited.  It was in the rocky mountains.

He knew it could be riddled with rogues, but he doubted there was a high amount. The few packs that did inhabit the area were the strongest there were they lived so remotely so as to have enough room for the whole pack.

He decided they would leave in the morning. As soon as the light started shining so they could get there by nightfall.

Later that night before Logan closed his eyes Ezra told him of the move. It didn't seem to bother him all that much.

"Okay daddy," Logan said through a yawn, "can you carry me ti the truck if I'm still sleeping?" He asked his eyes drooping shut.

He kissed his forhead, "No problem buddy."

While Logan was sleeping Ezra began to pack the bags. He packed only the essentials: clothes, shacks for the trip, etc.

He walked back up the stairs after placing the bags and stuff in the truck. It was only three o'clock so he could get at least a few hours of sleep in before they left. He entered the room to see Logan sleeping peacefully.

As much as he loved Logan he was glad the cabin in the Rockies had two bedrooms.

Ezra awoke just as the sun was coming over the horizon. He sat up rubbing his eyes from the sleep that had gathered in the corners. He looked to see Logan still snoring quietly. He quickly got dressed and made sure everything they needed was in the truck, after double checking he made sure all the windows were locked as well the sliding door off the kitchen before making his way upstairs to grab a sleeping Logan.

Logan barely stirred as Ezra gathered him in his arms along with a blanket to keep him warm since where they were going was really cold.

He locked the front door, he turned away making his way toward the truck. He placed Logan in the passenger seat in his booster that Ezra just tor for him and strapped him in.
