5. SAVIOR

The eight lifeguards came to the giant rock and rescued the twin couples at last. An ambulance was on its way and everyone made it to shore. The EMT took everyone to see if anyone was severely injured. Hannah ended up having a broken and dislocated shoulder, and Jocelyn had a missing foot and a broken in half arm. The boys, on the other hand had minor cuts from the rock and sharp edges of the broken surf boards, but that's all. They all stayed the night at the hospital, and the boys stayed there because of course they wanted to be right by the girls side. They fell asleep to the movie 'The Greatest Showman' and eating ice cream.
In the early morning, the sun blasted through the hospital window and woke up Grayson. He quietly awoke Ethan so the girls could recover and sleep. "What time is it Gray?" E asked him. Grayson peered to look at his watch and it was a little cracked on the side. It was clearly 6am, though. Grayson's mind was still racing at the though of Jocelyn's missing foot...maybe they could afford a prosthetic. "What should we do today since the girls are recovering?" Ethan asked Grayson, still trying to be very quiet.
"We could surprise them with breakfast from McDonalds. And buy them big stuffed animals from the gift shop or maybe even Walmart!" Grayson replied generously.
"Okay let's go quickly before they wake up and realize we are gone. They check out with the visiting nurse staff and Ethan yanked the car keys from his jeans pocket. He hopped in the drivers seat and let Gray get in before he started the car. "How do ya have on you?" Ethan asked Gray.
"About $27." He replied.
"What's Jocelyn's favorite color?"
"Far from red, I'm pretty sure it's pink or purple. And I think Hannah told me hers is blue."
They stopped at Walmart first and went towards the stuffed animals. There was a huge sale since the Fourth of July just passed a few weeks ago. Ethan steps right up close to a four foot tall and very fluffy Blue bear. "She would ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS." Ethan exclaims to Gray. Ethan helped Grayson look around for a pink or purple bear, and they came across a giant purple cat with the Dolan Twins logo printed on its pink shirt. "PURRRRRFECT!" Grayson purrs to E. The boys speed walked to the front counter and did a self check out and shoved the stuffed animals into the back of the car without bags. Grayson took a turn driving and drove to McDonalds. It was currently 6:45 on the car clock. "Hi! Order when ever you are ready." The lady at the drive thru told the twins.
"Hi there! We would like umm.. four hash browns, two egg McMuffins, 3 eggs, and 8 bacon strips. And an order of 4 Carmel frappe coffees, too please." Grayson told the woman.
"Already! Your total will be $46.89. Please head to the next window ahead!" They received the order and payed debit. It was about a five minute drive to the hospital from McDonalds to the hospital, so the food would stay nice and hot. The boys walked in and checked in with the nurse staff once again and went up to room 203 where the girls are. They appeared to be lying down still, but awake. Jocelyn received a green waterproof cast on her left arm and a prop and bulky bandage on her missing foot place while the boys were off. "Where were you guys? WHAT IS THAT? A PURPLE CAT WITH A DOLAN TWINS SHIRT?" Jocelyn screeched.
"AND A HUGE BLUE BEAR?" Hannah cheered.
"Yup! The cat is for JJ and the bear is for Hannah banana!" Ethan told them.
"Yippee!" The girls chanted at once. The boys took the stuffed animals over to the girls immediately and they fell in love with them instantly. In that instant, everything felt okay again.
