And as soon as the endeavor started, it was over just as quick. They went back to the library and Phillip can't keep his mind from racing. What would happen if we weren't stopped. Why didn't I stop him. Why-

"Hey, whoa, you're even more red than before we left for break, what happened?" Angie said derailing his fast train of thought.

He coughed nervously. "Uh nothing. Do you know why we got called down, that couldn't have been and hour?"

"I don't know but I'm hoping that it's our food because I'm starving"

He had forgotten about the food that they ordered before the break and sure enough Sigg and a few other teachers walked in with the pizzas and subs.

"Attention! You all are adults so I trust that you don't need to be made to eat in the cafeteria, so don't do anything that would make the janitors mad."

He felt someone tap on his shoulder, he turned around and it was the shorter man that he had become dangerously close with.

"We should go back to your room with our food and continue what we started in there." Phillip hadn't responded so the blue eyed man searched for one in his eyes. "Or not, we can just eat and talk ya know? I don't want to pressure you into doing anything that you don't want to do."

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Yes, I'd love to. There, is that what you wanted?"

"I would have preferred you to beg but I guess that was acceptable. Get our food and I'll grab some drinks from the vending machine, what do you want?"

"Just a water, thanks" he said as the younger man walked out the door and he went to grab their food.

"Lunch. Alone. Sounds a little date-y don't cha think?" the shorter woman asked while suggestively elbowing his side.

" What? No, don't say that so loud." he said as he was leaving the room. She only hummed in response. He made his way right back to his room to find that the blue eye man was sitting on the counter with their drinks. He set the food down and began to walk towards his office.

"Where are you going?" Bryan inquired.

"I'm going to get money to pay you back for the water." he quickly responded

"Hey, no, you don't have to do that." he said grabbing Phillips arm "I'm sure you could pay me back in ... other ways." once again, his voice dropping down a bit. In which, the taller man blinked in disbelief. "Oh shoot, I'm sorry. I forgot that you aren't trying to do this whole thing right now." He turned around and went back to hop up on the counter and Phillip quietly followed.

They quietly sat there eating, waiting for someone to break the silence.

"When did you know?" the taller man asked

"Know what?"

"You know, when you realized that you were gay."

"Well I guess I always knew that I like guys but all I ever saw was that guys liking girls, so then I tried dating girls to fit in. But around 9th grade I fully came to terms with liking men and it felt so right. It was like that one scene in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory when he tried chocolate for the first time." he continued rambling on about how he came out and his first kiss and all Phillip could help to do was watch the younger boy. He felt like he could do that for hours. "Phillip?"

"Sorry." he blushed at the fact that he was caught dosing off.

"No problem I was just said 'how about you' when I realized you kinda weren't paying attention.

"I am, or at least I was. And yeah I've dated girls before but didn't feel anything and being brought up strictly christian with the notion that I'll go to hell gave me a sort of repulsion for the idea of being gay in high school and college so I settled for an ace life." he spilled. These were things that took his closest friend Angie weeks,if not months, to figure out. There was just something about the man in front of him that made him feel safe.

"Aww that's sad. I couldn't imagine going without dick for a month let alone years. That reminds me, I think I have to make a dick appointment soon." he said checking his watch, this made Phillip smile. "There's that smile that I love to see. And if the God is anything like the one I believe in, he'll love you for you. Why create me just to hate me, ya know?" he said taking a drink from his bottle. Bryan's words made Phillip think.

"I want to try."

"Try what?" Bryan questioned due to the brown eyed man's habit of short vague statements.

"I want to try men." he finished

"Like right now?"

"Yes." he simply stated so that he wouldn't be able to psych himself out.

"Okay, Casanova, how about I finish my food first." Phillip had already finished and was now waiting for Bryan, so he finished drinking his water making sure that there was no more food was left in his teeth.

"You have a smart board?" he pointed his head towards the other side of the room, in which he earned a nod from the brown eyed man. "You have Netflix?" Another nod. "Lets watch a movie."

"We have like 20 minutes left, how are we supposed to watch a movie?"

"We can start one, but you have to promise me we will finish it sometime at my place." he held out his pinky. Phillip connected his and they hopped off the counter. "I'm going to run and get blankets and you, sir, start a movie" Phillip made his way over to his computer and he clicked on the first movie that came to mind, The Great Gatsby, the one from 1974 and by the time it began to play Bryan was already back.

They sat down, Phillip made sure that he left space between him and Bryan but that space was quickly taken up because Bryan had scooted closed, practically hugging Phillip with his head on the taller mans shoulder. "Calm down, your heart is racing" he said with his hand on his chest. Bryan intertwined their legs and quietly watched the movie. Right around 10 minutes into the film Bryan looked up. Phillip looked right back down and their eyes locked. The space between them became closer and closer and Bryan closed the gap. The kiss was short but it felt like forever and it was everything and more that Phillip had ever wanted, he said nothing as their eyes opened and they stared at each other.

"Was is good?" he said quietly and the taller man looking slightly down at him didn't respond, he just leaned back in to kiss him again. This kiss was longer and with more passion and the only reason that they stopped this time was for air. "I guess that was a yes" Phillip shook his head and turned it to look at the clock, they were going to have to leave in a few minutes to go back to meetings for the next couple hours.

"We should stay."

"Oo look who's trying to stay now. I'd love to, I really would but I'm clearly walking on thin ice with Sigg. How about this weekend you come over to my place and we finish this movie and to celebrate my first two days as an official teacher at Plymouth High."

"Fine." with that the someone came over the pa and called everyone back to the library to finish the meetings. They went by slowly by the time they were over everyone was ready to be at home once again except the only place that Phillip wanted to be was with Bryan. They said goodbyes by Phillips car and exchanged addresses. Now he finally had something to look forward to this weekend.

The drive home was expected to be filled with flooding thought of how he was going to hell and everything he just did was completely wrong but all of that was overpowered by the pure bliss of his actions. It was as if he had just seen color for the first time.
