I answered immediately completely unaware of the hell that was waiting for me a few hours away."I want you to spend it fucking me until I pass out."
|Chapter 13
His chuckle filled my ears as his lips pressed to my cheek and the tip of my nose before hovering back towards my ear. "How about you take a nap first? That way you'll stand a better chance."
"You think I can't put up a good fight?" I mumbled through a yawn, my eyes fluttering closed again as my body revealed in the moment, my skin still buzzing.
Shifting to his side, he wrapped an arm around my shoulders pulling me into his chest as I curled my arms between us. Resting my forehead against his chin, I couldn't help but let that warmth take complete hold of me taking me somewhere where the world opened up and embraced us in this invisible bubble of protection.
"Trust me, thats the last thing I'm thinking." Was the last thing he said before the world went dark.
Well that was until I was shaken from my sleep, Shane fully dressed gripping my clothes in his hands. "Nancy, Nancy we need to go."
"Huh? Whats going on?" I groaned, my fists grinding the sleep from my eyes as I sat up right letting the blanket fall down to my waist. "What time is it?"
"Four fifteen. We need to get back to the mansion now." The urgency in his voice was met with the calm waves in his eyes only confusing me more. I took my clothes from him, throwing my top on and forgetting my bra as I scrambled to get my pants on.
"Is everything okay?" I asked clearing my throat and waiting for him to blow out the candles. This wasn't the exact way I'd thought I'd wake up today but than again when does anything expected happen around these boys? He practically ran from the tent without a word as I stuggled to catch up, my jacket flung around my waist.
We hurried by the various coloured tents, sticks breaking under our shoes echoing across the still camp and light grey blue sky until we running down the same narrow dirt path as before, everyone else hidden behind us.
"Shane!" I yelled, his shaggy hair barley visible through the thick bushes.
Why is it after a single night with either one brother, everything seems so hectic the day after?!
"Shane wait!" I tried again, his speed and lack of communication throwing me around the place. This wasn't like him, every time we'd met, which in all fairness wasn't that much, he was so wrapped up in us, in everyone else's feelings and well-being. He'd never ignored me or just ran off with barley any information . . .
Did that just mean-
"Nancy," he muttered, suddenly appearing right in front of me as my chest bashed against his, his hands holding me firmly by the shoulders. His eyes peered into mine, the brown darkening with that usual concern as his lips stayed drawn in a straight line. "Police came to the house looking for you."
"W-What?" I stumbled, my mouth suddenly dry.
"Regan and Ian have been arrested."
"What?!" I yelled louder, the ground under my feet felt like it was breaking ready to take me right under with my head slowly spinning faster and faster. For a second it felt like every breath I tried to take was burning my lungs up from the inside. "Why?!"
"I don't know but we need to get to back to Jeremy now." All I could do was nod weakly, my body feeling as though any slight tap and I'd fall too pieces.
I got them arrested. It had to be me. I'd just disappeared, dropped my life and thought what? Nothing would happen?!
Panic and now guilt bubbled away inside me, my thoughts unable to sway anywhere else.
