Chekov as he watches you from across the bridge, drowning yourself in work. You hadn't been your normal, cheerful self the last few days, not since two crewmen died on an away mission that you personally led. It didn't help that one of the victims was your best friend. Chekov knew this, and he knew well the pain you were suffering, but he also knew that you were one who needed space to cope. The Captain had already ensured you that the deaths were not your fault, but nearly everyone could see the guilt eating away at you as you walked through the decks. Chekov could do little to help you, but with the occasional squeeze of the hand throughout the day, he always made it clear that he would be there to help at any time.
