Every night was the same for Shego. The same dream came to her. A broken girl lying huddled in the corner of a cell, the chains around her a special kind of torment. She could feel her pain and her anger. She was tall, with dark black hair and wild blue eyes. The door to the cell opened and in stepped her older sister. Shego knew this because she could never forget that face. That voice. That smile, cruel and frightening, with a hint of insanity barely contained behind eyes as cold as the element that claimed her. Together, her and this girl had brought a kingdom to its knees. One born of fire, quick witted, sassy and defiant. The other born of ice, as furious as the blizzards she commanded and as beautiful as the ice flowers she could create. Both on a collision course with destiny and a path of destruction. Before she had met Dr. D she had been on her own with no direction. Desperate to find her place in the world away from her older brothers, she had fallen in with Sellece's crowd. The 2 became fast friends. One so young at the time and so naive. The other longing for adventure.
Pain for the girl, ice slowly creeping through her body, her blood freezing but at the same time not causing her limbs to numb as she so desperately hoped. No, instead it burned, burned like the fire her sister's long lost love had hoped had died. Sshego was helpless, helpless to stop Thalia's pain. Both girls were so beautiful. but the younger one had always been the favorite. Shego hated this feeling of not being in control. Sellece seemed to be looking right at her as her little sister begged to be allowed rest. Thalia knew if she was pliant enough, quick enough, her sister might get bored and find something else to play with. She had wondered, on many sleepless nights if Thalia hated her. She had decided she wouldn't be surprised if she did. Shego had a hand in her suffering, even though she wasn't the one conducting the brutal torture sessions. Then the dream changed.
Shego was pressed up against the wall as they shared a passionate kiss. This day in particular had started out with them sparring, but somehow always ended this way. One of Sellece's hands was in her hair, the other ran over her body. The kiss they shared was filled with passion and love...or was it lust? She had never been sure. Although at one time there had been love there, what would Sellece do if she found her now? Her dream self watched the couple fall to the practice room floor and she heard the 2 of them whisper promises of forever and sweet nothings into each other's ears. Then the whimpers, her cries in particular as Sellece did what no one else had been able to do since, although maybe that was because she had yet to trust someone that completely. To let someone take control like that wasn't something that just happened. Maybe it was also because no one had earned her love the way the ice princess had. Shego woke, and began to write. And Thalia read the story of her kingdom's downfall through the eyes of one of those who had caused its destruction. Because even though Shego couldn't see her, the littlest of the siblings was there. Thalia hid in the shadows where only little Theodore could see her. She had yet to decide if Cassie's sister was a victim of her sister's cruel manipulation or a willing participant in the events that had occurred. Silent tears fell from the older girl's eyes. Every night, Thalia warned her, the best way she knew how. And every night, in the light of a candle, Diana Go wrote in a book, neither of them knowing Sellece was seeing, and reading, everything.
