Saturday came around and I dressed in my 'New York Rangers' jersey that I brought because it's the team I support (literally only because I didn't care who I supported and when I asked the twins who I should support, that was their answer) with a pair of blue denim jeans and my black high tops. When I left my dorm, Gray was already there - waiting. We left the dorm building and walked slightly off campus to get an Uber from here to the game. The drive there was stupidly embarrassing. I hadn't done my seatbelt up because I couldn't find it in the dark and when we took a very sharp turn I flung sideways and fell into Gray who, by the way, was on the complete other side of the car. He caught my back and when I put my hand down to get back up I missed the seat and put it on his thigh. As if it couldn't get any awkwarder for me. I eventually got back up and looked out of my window for the rest of the way there. I leant to open the car door and Gray yelled at me to wait. Out of shock, I froze. He walked around the car and opened the door for me. Reaching out a hand to help me out. When I grabbed onto his hand he pulled me into a hug and apologised for yelling and that he didn't mean to scare me.
We walked into the foyer of the rink and got ourselves a hot drink. While we were in the queue, an already drunk man lined up to our right side and Gray directed me to his left side and gave me a slightly worried look yet clenched his fists - like he was trying to protect me. I went along with it and grabbed his elbow.
We got our drinks and sat down in the rink. The game started and we were discussing tactics and pointing out what the other team where doing wrong and sometimes critiquing our own team. We were getting lots of dirty looks for it but we didn't care. He squeezed my knee at some point and asked if I was cold. I told him I wasn't, even though I was kind of shivering. He couldn't tell though until he simply rested his hand on my thigh. Then, without saying anything, he took his hoodie off and handed it to me - leaving him in a tank top. I insisted on him having it back because I was stupid enough to think a long sleeved jersey would keep me warm but he was hesitant on me wearing it and refused to take it back from me. I put it on and he took his hand off my thigh and wrapped it round my shoulders instead. I leant into him and we watched the rest of the game like a dumb, cringey couple.

The game ended and Grayson called for an uber to get us back home. When it got here, I climbed into my seat but, this time, Gray leant over and did my seatbelt for me - like I was some incapable 4 year old. He walked around the back of the car and sat on the other side. It was awkward to talk about anything because there was some random guy in the front driving. It was just silence the whole way back and a few turning heads to smile at each other. The uber finally pulled up outside the dorm building and Gray insisted on walking back to my dorm. We decided to race up the stairs rather than take the elevator. He was letting me win so, when I got to the top before him, I started laughing and calling him a loser. We both knew it was a joke and he was laughing with me. We got back to my dorm and I walked in, forgetting to say goodbye. As soon as I remembered, I turned round and hugged him.

"Goodnight Gray." I said smiling. He broke apart from the hug and I looked down. He held my face and I looked into his eyes. He pulled me closer and we kissed.

"Night Billie." He smiled and then turned around, walking towards his dorm. I shut my door, locked it and climbed into bed. I got my laptop from under my bed and watched Netflix until I fell asleep.
