Lila sighed in annoyance as she tried to get a comfortable position in the bed. It wasn't easy being pregnant especially with twins. Right now her lower back hurt and she was hungry.
She pouted. “Nathy” she called. He continued to sleep peacefully. She sighed and reached out a hand gently shaking him awake.
“Hmm,” he muttered, turning around and putting an arm gently around Lila, still half asleep.
“Nathy, I'm hungry” she whined, “Can you go get me ice cream?”
“Lil, it's 2 in the morning,” Nathanael said.
Lila's lips drew in a tight line and her eyebrows furrowed at his response. “Oh, okay, after all, I wouldn't want to be...Annoying”
Nathanael's eyes flew wide open at her tone. He knew and feared that tone.
“What! Annoying? Your not annoying, my love” he anxiously laughed.
Lila grinned “So will you go get me ice cream?”
“Of course!” Nathanael said quickly getting out of the bed. He grabbed his trousers and put them on “I'll go get some right now”
Lila smiled “You're the best Nathy!”
Nathanael laughed and rushed out of the bedroom.
After a while, he came back carrying a plastic bag full of tubs of ice cream. “Sorry it took so long I had troubles finding a shop that was open”
Lila sat up fixing the pillows behind her back. “Oh it's no problem”
“Right, I didn't know what flavor you wanted so I just got them all”
Lila laughed and picked up a tub of chocolate ice cream opening it and taking the spoon Nathanael had brought in to scoop up some ice cream. She ate it a happy smile spreading on her face.
Nathanael sighed in relief, he didn't have to worry about angry hormonal Lila just now.
