I woke up with a violent jolt from my dream, I didn't have a clue to where I was or what had happened. Then everything started to sink in , I was in the palace's infirmary .
The marble stark white walls seemed to creep into me ,all I needed was fresh air to clear my foggy mind right now but my body failed me to move a muscle.
I was trapped against my own will.
I heard quick footsteps coming towards me and I only saw an outline of her body in the dimly lit room.
"You highness, you have finally awake woke up", said Alice holding a candlelight in her chubby hands.
" I must report to the Golden Fey that you have awoken ",she said smiling, revealing a set of dimples on her cheeks.
"Where's Timothy?", I asked.
" Your health is much more important than him, so please rest I will go fetch for you a cup of hot chocolate with some freshly baked cookies", she said with concern on her round face.
"As the future king of Faerieland I demand you to tell me where he is", I said sternly, dragging the two last words.
" Your highness, please don't upset the queens orders for which you will be damned if you do not obey", her voice trailed of as she closed the wooden door not bothering to turn her back to me.
I fidgeted out of frustration, almost tiring myself.
It was going to be dawn soon and time was ticking fast, this time I decided to get up using full force but yet again my body failed me , making me more anxious by the minute.
Must have been a magic spell that stopped me from moving I mentally noted put everything together like a jigsaw puzzle filled with mysteries.
I sighed out of defeat and laid motionless on the soft bed.
" If I have to break free from this invisible bind I have to cast another spell but which one?", I questioned myself since it clearly looked like I was almost out of options, when one suddenly popped into thought.
***
I flew back to the forest taking my time to look at how different the surroundings looked. I was glad for reading the books Aunt May had given for my 15th birthday, the teleportation spell had finally worked on me after sleepless nights of training in the courtyard with my brother.
The starry night quickly vanished beneath the sky of splashed of pink and orange.
As I neared the forest it looked completely different than I had thought it would have been. The trees were all burnt down and scorched, heat rose on my neck as I realized that I had caused the damage.
I could no longer hear the laughter of people or the chatter of birds but it was replaced with eternal silence , which made me wonder if I had hurt Timothy.
I landed on the forest floor looking for any sign of faeries but there was none what really hit me was when I found dead piles of faeries laying on the ground like butchered corpses and the little cottages burned to debris.
What had I done I asked myself is this why they put a spell on me to stop me from...
"Peony, is that you?", asked Timothy appearing from an oak tree .
He looked casual with his white silk T-shirt and his dark blue velvet pants , his long curly hair was sleeked back .
" Timothy , I thought...you were dead I said my hands shaking like butterflies at my sides.
His jaw tightened as he flew down to meet.
" Others weren't that lucky enough to escape from the flame and the flood."
