Wonderland (H.S)

Prologue

The engine was roaring as the car drove along the country road at four in the morning. The sun was rising. An orange and pink toned sky melted into one another and surrounded the pair as the wind blew in their hair. The birds were chirping singing a sweet melody to the pair in the car. The warm summer air caressing their cheeks from the windows being open.

Their fingers were interlocked and rested upon the gear stick of the car. Jetlag had taken over Cassidy's body over an hour ago and she was in a deep slumber. Harry glances her way and sees she's at peace with the world. A small, innocent smile tugging on her lips as she dreamt of herself and Harry on an adventure in that beautiful mind of hers. He was taking advantage of when he could do this. Despite being madly in love with one another, it was forbidden love. She was about to leave to embark on her uni life and he was already out of university in a stable job. Three years tore the pair apart. The thing that connected them was Cassidy's brother.

As the negative thoughts clouded his mind again from what would happen if anyone discovered the pairs little secret he lifted their interlocking hands and placed small kisses on Cassidy's knuckles while keeping his eyes on the road.

"Show me some loving when I'm awake petal"

Cassidy mumbled as she was beginning to awake from her slumber. She was sad to depart from it but also happy to just admire Harry for the time they had left together.

"So you're awake I see? It's four in the morning and you left me all alone with my thoughts"

"Yeah well it's your fault for keeping me up last night"

She said innocently while a smirk was beginning to engrave on Harry's face. Last night they did it for the first time. It was everything they could have dreamed of. Although it was painful at first they got used to it and their love for one another didn't fail to show as it went on into the early hours.

"I let you win by the way"

Harry said in a cheeky tone before saying,

"It was our first scrabble competition. I wanted to go easy one you"

He said with a chuckle on the end. Cassidy nudged his shoulder lightly before placing her head in the crook of his neck.

"Hmm, whatever helps you sleep at night Styles"

"Well you tend to. I am not looking forward to going back to my house alone. It's empty and cold without you. God do I wish you could just live there with me."

He sighed the last part. It would be a dream reality if they could just live happily with one another.

"You want me to live with you?"

She said in a surprised tone. They had only been together for a year and a few months so a statement like that was a little shocking. Especially it being Cassidy's first relationship.

"Well of course I do Cass. Can't you just imagine the thought of you waking up in my arms. Cuddled up to me in the winter to keep you warm. A smile on my face every morning knowing the first thing I get to see is your beautiful face"

A smile growing on the pairs face with the heart warming words that left Harry's lips and danced around in their thoughts.

"We could have a dog or two or a cat or two. I'll comfort you during your exam stress and coursework stress. I'd help you with your English degree. You'd be my little princess forever. And I'd be able to call you mine to all"

"I do love the sound of that Harry."

Love. A word the pair haven't said to one another yet. They don't want to rush yet here they are talking about living together and getting a dog or two. The pair felt the feeling of love towards one another for a while. But fear was a constant in the relationship they have.

Who knows what could happen the minute they say I love you? It was a car crash waiting to happen. They're bound to be discovered. Nobody knows when. It could be tomorrow. It could be ten years. It could be now. They don't want to risk saying it and then lose it all.

But they just blame it on timing. It's easier to hide the truth then to say it out loud sometimes.

But Harry didn't want to wait no more. When he looked at Cassidy all he could see was home. She was his home. She was his salvation. She was worth it all. She was worth losing everything for. To others, She might just Cassidy Tomlinson. The infamous Louis Tomlinson's little sister but to Harry she was Cassidy Tomlinson, his reason why tomorrow exists.

"And besides"

he said while his nerves started eating him up from the inside. But he pushed them as far as he could to the back of his mind.

"I'd be able to freely say to you at every second of the day"

But he was cut off by his phone going off. It was a text message. Who would be texting him this early in the morning?

"See who it is for me darling"

Cassidy reaches over and picks up Harry's phone.

"As I was saying, I'd be able to freely"

"Oh my God"

Cassidy says to Harry. Panic floods through her as she reads the four words she never wanted to hear or see from Louis. Not for a while anyway.

"What is it doll? A new dominos discount code that's to hard to deny?"

He jokes. But he doesn't know the hellish words that will fall from Cassidys angelic lips.

"He knows"

She said in a monotone voice. Harry's smile fell completely off of him. He wasn't used to his Cassidy sounding sad or scared. She was always happy and bubbly. His source of happiness.

"Louis?"

"He said 'he knows your secret' unless you're keeping something else from him I can't"

But they never got to hear the end of Cassidys sentence. Harry was too distracted by what Cassidy was saying that he didn't see the car that was expecting them to give way to them but Harry didn't.

The car smashed into Harry's flipping Harry and Cassidy over. Cassidys screams and cries could be heard through the car as it flipped and flipped.

"Cassidy! Cassidy!"

Harry tried to shout but came out as wheezes. His head jerked forward and bashed against the steering wheel. Darkness had overcome him. Glass shards had gone into the pair from the windows. But they were out cold.

It was supposed to be a sweet moment. It really was. He didn't know that this would happen. He was about to tell the love of his life that he loved her dearly. But their fears became a reality one by one. Someone possibly knows. Harry couldn't say what he wanted to say. And most importantly, they could be dead or alive.

Because they weren't surrounded by darkness anymore but they weren't surrounded by light either.

They were surrounded by wonderland.
