it wasn't always like this.

i ran out of my apartment, pulling on my hoodie as i jogged down the street to my workplace. it was a simple bubble tea & mochi store run by jin and his husband, namjoon. it wasn't anything extremely grand, but it was enough to pay for my expenses. i left busan a few months ago and moved to daegu to pursue my dream of becoming a dancer. turning the corner, i slowed my pace and pushed my hair back, in an attempt to appear more presentable and less like i had ran in order not to be late. opening the cafe's door, i smiled as the smell of tea and pastries wafted into my nose. smiling, i greeted jin, who was wiping down the counter, before pulling on my apron to being my shift.

 --------

i sighed as i wiped down the last table. it was around 9:47, and we closed at 10pm. it had been a relatively easy day, a few customers here and there. namjoon had also dropped in around 6 and gifted me and jin some mochi before leaving to continue writing his book.

sighing again, i looked around the empty cafe. both jin and namjoon had such peaceful lives, i wish i had something even remotely like them. jin ran the cafe while namjoon was an upcoming author. i flipped and lifted the chair onto the table when i heard the ringing of the bell near the door, meaning someone had entered. i looked to see the most handsomest man i've ever seen. he was tall, slim yet muscular, with dark messy hair and equally as dark eyes framed with long eyelashes. i didn't register a word of what he was saying, only watching as his plump lips moved with every syllable.

"-cuse me, um, excuse me?"

my head snapped up as i finally realized he was speaking to me,

"y-yes?"
