Chapter 1 - The Beginning

~Joe's POV~

       It was the first day of high school and I was told to look out for this "Thomas Dyer" person. The paper didn't say what their gender was so I'm a little confused but I myself am transgender so it didnt bother me too much. 

Today I wore my navy green high neck short sleeved T-shirt with black skinny jeans. A black zip up sweater not even zipped up, hung over my shoulders. My thick black choker with a small hallow triangle dangling off of it. I have my black backpack swung over my left shoulder. 

In my right hand, a paper with my schedule written on it along with the kid I'm supposed to meet. I get off my bus and look at the paper. 'Meet Thomas Dyer at the schools football stadium at 7:45am'. Is what it read it's only 7:15 now I have 20 minutes to put my stuff in my locker and meet Tom. 

I quickly walk to my locker when I get there i hear a familiar voice.
   "Hey Joey!" it was Lazarus, i call her Laz. she was rather excited today. Laz has been my best friend ever since she came to earth which was like 5 years ago. 

Laz is from a planet that involves people being the different elements of earth. The reason Lazarus is actually on earth is because she is a hybrid element between water and nature. Hybrids are outcasts on her planet. 

I look her up and down she stands in front of me wearing a frilly dress that goes from green to a light blue, she wears sneaker like boots that go up all the way before her knee. One is green and one is blue. Why are they two different colours? Eh whatever. Her eyes are two different colours too. One green and one blue.

 Her eyes sparkle like diamonds being struck by the brightest sun beam. Her freckles making her even more adorable, and her hair looks like as if she curled it on purpose. She has a green headband with a light blue sparkling flower poking off it next to her ear. Her ears are pointed like the alien she is but I think they are still cute.
   

"Hey Laz! Oh my goodness you look gorgeous as always." I smile widely and give her a big hug. As I hug her I look at the time. I have 5 minutes. Shit.

"Laz I gotta go there's a new kid in school and I'm their guide. The paper doesn't say a gender so they might be like me, I have to meet them at the football stadium in 5 so I have to bounce like, now. I promise you I'll give you more details later, ok?" I say quickly. Laz smiles and nods I then turn away and sprint for the stadium. 

When I get there I'm all out of breath, a little sweaty, and my pink hair is all fluffed and stuck to my forehead. Luckily I still have 2 minutes. Damn I got here fast. I look around, lungs burning as I trying to catch my breath. I don't see them quite yet. 

I then turn around and see the cutest little bean ever sitting a little awkwardly, flustered by a tree with their books and note books.

 I walk over there slowly my breath almost caught up with me but by the time I get there I'm fine. I lean on the tree, they don't quite yet notice me. I look them up and down, they have brown messy hair and silver coloured eyes. They're wearing a purple cardigan over top of a white button up dress shirt with black jeans and combat boots on. Hella dorky but they don't really seem like a Thomas to me.
   

"Hey uh..." I say but I get cut off when they jump.
 

  "J-jesus, Marry and Joseph. You scared th-the shit outa me. Heilige Scheiße." That last part they muttered under their breath.
   

"Oh, sorry to scare you. Um, is your name Thomas?" I ask.
  

 "P-please, call me Tom, i-if you will." They say after brushing themselves off.
  

 "Oh ok I'm Joseph but u can call me Joe or Joey. I shall be your personal guide and or friend for the day. The friend part is if you're ok with it though." I say putting my hand out to shake their hand. They giggle oh so adorably, what a dreamboat. When they take my hand to shake it I can feel them quivering underneath my fingertips.

"Ok so where to?" I ask looking down at their schedule.
