Chapter II

The sun was no longer out but the lights of the streets guided me through the night. It seemed that the area was more alive around this time and that's what made me fall even more in love with it.

I had bought myself a couple of outfits with whatever money I had brought with. I had even stopped by a couple of stores for job applications, It honestly wasn't easy. Some places were either just rude or not interested but there were few places that seemed quite astonished with the way I presented myself to them.

A little more than an hour had passed by when I finally decided to give the job search a break. I was kind of exhausted but at the same time, I didn't want the night to come to an end just yet. I wasn't too far from the beach so I headed that way to take a little walk near the shore. Once I was about to reach the sand I untied my shoes and stepped into the semi-warm sand.

As I was walking towards the shore from the corner of my right eye I could see a group of girls heading my way. I wasn't exactly sure if they were going to walk up to me but it kind of seemed like it. I wasn't going to take any chances though, I didn't even know them for god sakes. I picked up my pace and continued to make my way towards the water when one of the girls called out to me.

"YOO!" Whoever yelled out to me had a lazy voice which just had me assuming she was most likely drunk.

I turned around to face the three girls and let me tell you! These bitches were some badass chicks! I mean they're the type of chicas you see posing in fashion nova clothing. They were drop dead gorgeous.

"What are you up to?" the girl who stood beside the chick who called out to me said

"Came to take a walk near the shore" I was kind of nervous since I really didn't know them.

"I'm sorry babes! We didn't mean to bug but I had seen you alone so I thought you'd maybe want to come join us over there near the fire pit" the dark brown haired girl who yelled out to me said as she pointed towards where it seemed that a small beach party was going on.

It took me a second to agree to go, only because it was a little weird. But I also didn't want to be alone either.

"We completely understand if you don't want to. I just thought it'd be cool if you tagged along! You look like a chill ass girl." The quiet one said who ended up downing her drink right after.

"You know what? Fuck it! Why not?" I let out a laugh as I shrugged my shoulders.

The girls happily dragged me over to the party.

"Oh god, we're so sorry! We didn't even introduce ourselves to you. I'm Angie" the girl who called to me said "that's Daisy" Angie points to the second chick with the dark brown hair. "and lastly Belsa but we call her Chugs since shorty loves to down her drinks like crazy" I look over to Belsa who finished downing another drink.

Chugs looks at us with a confused look "what?" She says after crushing her red cup. The girls and I laughed.

"Well, my name is Azelea. I prefer Lea though or whatever you guys want to call me by as long as it ain't some bitchy name" I scoffed

"Ouu girl that is such a pretty name!" Angie says after taking a sip of her cup.

"Thanks. So, is Chugs the only one that has a nickname?" I questioned.

"Nah, mines chata. Which is known as pug nose. I got that after Angie and I got into it and she slammed my shit into the wall" the girls seemed to laugh about it but I was actually quite shocked.

"Oh my god! Were you okay?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah! We are going to a certain place where they always have a street fight going on and that day hella motherfuckers were putting in money for Angie to whoop my ass. The total came out to 3k but what they didn't know was Angie and I were close so I let her beat my ass" Daisy looked over to Angie shoving her lightly. "But Angie knows I'd beat her ass any day that night I just let her win!" Angie laughed at her remark
