The tree in the park

I don't know what came over me last night, I mean I flipping kissed him. The most popular boy in the entire school and I kissed him!! And now I have a date at 8 tonight.

Once he left I looked out the window once more to see him drive off he put on his helmet and drove off, grinning the entire time.

My mom walked into the living room. " how was your first day? And the so called 'studying' late?"

" the first day was great I made a few friends, took good math notes (false) and Will drove me home. "

"Who is this Will?"

" he is a boy that I met this morning. He helped me find my classes, and helped me get away from some freak at school. " " he also asked me out to dinner tomorrow night at 8."

"He sounds like a nice boy. Let's go shopping so you actually have something nice to wear. "

Wow I wasn't expecting that to happen, my mom has always been so negative about me going out with boys.

I went up to my room and grabbed $200 and put it in my new Vera Bradley bag that I got last week. Then I grabbed a snack and my mom and I told rose to lock the doors and be safe while we are out.

-at the mall-

When we got there we went into forever 21 and I got a new pair of high top converse. When my mom and I were looking at tops and shorts she started talking and asking what he was like. I thought that this was going to be a never ending conversation.

" so, because you are going out with this boy tonight I want to know why you lied about studying late after school when you were with him. Explain and I will let you go on your date. "

" when that other jerk at school was uhhmmmm trying to ugh kiss me Will came over and stopped him but before he could Adam knocked me out cold (lie) and Will brought me to the nurses office and waited for me to wake up. "

" I will let you go, because that was so sweet, sounds like he likes you" my mom is saying that voice that is taunting me like all moms do

Once we got home my cousin Max was sitting in my room. I was shocked by his appearance.

"How was school Amelia?" " huh oh. Ya. It. Was. Okay. " " what happened with the playahh?" " it was okay, how was your first day?"

Max went to my school, and sometimes he just shows up in my room, it's funny because he does it even if I tell him not to. "

" we got assigned a science project due in 2 weeks it sucks but my partner is really great she is cute and really smart and I. Oops I said that out loud didn't I"

" yup you did and I think that you have something to confess. "

"No I don't I think that you should be the one talking here. Why don't you confess and then I will do the same. "

" well then I don't think that any one of us is going to spill tonight. "

Once Max left I got ready for bed.

The next morning I got dressed and walked to school with rose. When her and her friends were ahead of me someone came up behind me and lifted me off of my feet, to my surprise it was Will.

He gave me a piggy back ride until we were at the school. "Amelia you weigh nothing it's so easy to just pick you up. " I think that I was blushing. We were one block from the school and we were talking about the math quiz coming up.

He slowly reached over and slid his fingers between mine. I was red and then we walked into school. I got looks of envy from every girl and a jealous one from every boy.

Ashlee came up to Will and pushed me away.

"Hey Will, want to go out tonight I'm free and my dad would fly us to Hawaii for dinner."

From the looks of things Ashlee was really rich.

"Sorry I have a date tonight Ashlee "

"With her? Why her? Come on I could get you a scholarship for collage too! Please come."

"Go. I'll be fine. " " are you sure I was so exited for tonight. " "yes, if you are getting a scholarship. Than you should go. "

I wanted him to go because of the scholarship but then again I. Thought that he might have actually liked me

" I have to go I'll be late for math bye. " I gave Will a quick kiss on the cheek and walked off.

I got to math and took a few notes and walked to my locker, just to grab my books and a jacket, it's always cold in that class.

When I walked in to English Miss. Donna wasn't there yet, but Ashlee and Will were and they were making out in the corner of the room.

When he saw me his face was as shocked as me and I ran out crying. I told the front desk that I wasn't feeling good and needed to go home.

I told my mom and said that I was going to the park.

When I got to the park there is a big oak tree in the middle of the park. The sign says not to climb but nobody is ever at that park so I climb to the highest branch. That is were I go when I have something going on.

I have made my own base up in this tree and the only one who knows about it is me cousin Max.

Speaking of Max here he is.

" hey I heard. Guess he really is a player. "

"Ya he is I was so happy for a second too. "

"Come on you have been here for hours and it is getting late. "

Once we got home I put my backpack on by desk and changed into a oversized T-Shirt and some short shorts and fuzzy socks with my hair up in a messy bun.

Max was on my bed so I decided to lay my head on his lap and have my feet dangle off of the edge of the bed.

Max took out my bun and started messing with my hair. He felt more like a brother than a cousin. He was always there for me too.

All of a sudden I heard a knock. "Come in" it was Will. "

His dark hair still in his eyes I couldn't get over it. But he broke my heart. "Get out Will!"

"Wait, I can explain. Ashlee knew that you were coming and as soon as she saw you threw the window she grabbed me and started to make out with me to make you upset. I tried to find you. But I couldn't. "

" it's going to take some time to believe that Will. "

It was still hard to believe and I hated myself and him for it. I was still hurt inside.

I got off my bed and went up to Will I stared into his dark olive green eyes and said "goodbye Will I will see you tomorrow and we will see what will happen because I don't know what to think yet. "
