Jordan groans at the sound of her alarm. It reads "6:30 AM" and Jordan knows that means she is going to school. It's a typical Wednesday morning, and Jordan gets out of her floral covers. She stares at her Jungkook poster for a moment, then walks to the bathroom almost losing her balance from the sudden movement.

She takes her phone from her white nightstand, and goes on Spotify to play some NCT songs. It blasts Black On Black, Jordan's favorite song. As she soaks her toothbrush in water, she screams and jumps. She suddenly sighs at the sight of her best friend, Rachel.

"Rachel! You scared me to death! How did you get in!?" Jordan exclaimed. "Your mom let me in." Rachel replied with a smirk. "Come on, we gotta go to school." "Ugh, but it's only 6:30" Jordan replied in a tired voice. Rachel sighed and facepalmed. "We have the assembly about bullying! Did you forget?" Jordan almost forgot about the assembly! "Oh yeah! I almost forgot! I need to get ready fast!" Jordan said, brushing her teeth for 2 seconds, then picking random clothes and putting them on.

"Hurry up, we gotta go." Rachel said impatiently. Jordan swung her bag over her shoulders and headed down the stairs, followed by Rachel. "Hey! Where are you going? I need to talk to you about something!" Jordan's mom said. "Can we talk later? Me and Rachel are heading to an early morning assembly at school. And what's with all these suitcases?" Jordan asked. "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. Honey, we're mov-" Jordan quickly interrupted her mother and said "We have to go. Text me about what you wanna say when I'm at school." Right after Jordan uttered those words, Rachel pulled Jordan out the door and onto the porch.

"Where's the bus?" Jordan exclaimed in exasperation. "There's no bus this early! Ask your mom to drive us." Rachel said, rolling her eyes after forgetting about that. "Mom! Come out here, please!" Jordan yelled. "Yes, sweetheart?" Jordan's mom opened the door and replied with a sweet, soft voice. "We need you to drive us to school. There are no buses this early." Jordan said. "Fine. Hop on into the car. I have something to tell you anyway." Jordan's mom said.

They all get into the car, and Jordan asks what it is that her mother wanted to say. "I got a call, and it was from my work. They said I'll get a promotion." Jordan's mom said. "WHAT!? Mom, that's amazing! I'm so happy for you!" Jordan squealed. "Yes, I know. But, they said we will have to move. I accepted, thinking it was going to be somewhere close like South Dakota, which isn't that far from North Dakota.

"Mom.. where will we have to move!?" Jordan said, looking at Rachel for support. Jordan's mom replied with, "A foreign country. I'm not sure which country it is. I will find out tomorrow." Jordan and Rachel looked at each other in shock.
